22nd August, 2026: Asian Skating Union Congress of 2026 was conducted in New Delhi, successfully hosted by the Ice Skating Association of India for the second consecutive time.
Delegations from 12 countries took part in the congress which was lead by ASU President, Mr. Myong-Hi Chang.
Several discussions on development of Asian countries in Ice Skating was done with various important decisions being taken by the council.
Mr. Myong-Hi Chang would continue to lead the ASU as the President of the Asian Skating Union for the next term. Mr. Chang, a foundational member of the union, has built a legacy in the years and is ready to take it forward.
Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya ji, Hon’ble Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India joined the Closing Ceremony of virtually to give a special message to the skaters present there.
We are grateful for his inspiring words and look forward to work under his guidance✨

Followed closely by India, who won the most number of Medals at 💙

Team India Short Track finishes Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy 2026 with a total of 4️⃣4️⃣ Medals, including 13🥇13🥈18🥉while ranking 2nd on the Final Medal tally, behind Thailand and above China.
This marks a new high in the Indian Ice Skating history as we record our most successful medal haul in an international competition 💙
We congratulate all the participants and winners and wish them luck for their future endeavours💪
