LET ME EXPLAIN!
higher intensity exercise = increased hunger cues
FACTS: RUNNING BURNS CALORIES. .. so does walking, lifting, pilates, cooking your dinner, chatting with your friends, breathing ...
IMO running is the least rewarding athletic feat. The endorphins and dopamine rush are real and positive. no denial. even i feel them, and i’m not a runner by trade). but running puts your body in a state of elevated cortisol, fatigues you and makes you hungry in a way that other exercise doesn’t.
of course, the nature of high intensity exercise burns more calories per minute of exercise. but we can rarely workout for extended periods of time at this level. basic logic but the application is more nuanced.
you might run for 20 minutes. gas yourself out. think “i worked out hard today”. then not walk for the rest of the day. eat in a caloric surplus because your body feels the need to replenish after a strenuous movement.
If you love to run and it’s how YOU choose to move.
Then RUN.
My angle here is that you don’t NEED to run to burn calories, lose fat, be healthy, look “toned.
The kind of movement you can do consistently is the best kind.

PIN THIS 📌 The foods holding your belly fat hostage
Sis, you can’t out-train a bad diet. If belly fat is not shifting, CHECK these 4 things:
1️⃣ LIQUID SUGAR
Sodas, energy drinks, sugary lattes
Why it’s stalling you: Spikes insulin, stops fat burning, pure empty calories.
My swap for my girls:
✅ Water + lemon / electrolytes
✅ Black coffee or zero cal options
✅ Unsweetened tea / green tea
2️⃣ PROCESSED CARBS
White bread, cereals, pastries, biscuits
Why: Blood sugar rollercoaster = more cravings + more fat storage.
My swap:
✅ Whole grain / Ezekiel bread
✅ Brown rice, quinoa
✅ Oats, sweet potatoes
3️⃣ FRIED & GREASY STUFF
Fries, fried chicken, takeaways
Why: Super high calorie, gets stored right around your midsection.
My swap:
✅ Air-fried version
✅ Grilled or baked protein
✅ Roasted veggies
4️⃣ SUGARY SNACKS
Candy, cookies, donuts, chocolates
Why: Energy crash, constant hunger, fat storage mode on.
My swap:
✅ High protein snack
✅ Greek yogurt + berries
✅ 85%+ dark chocolate [small piece is enough]
You don’t need to be perfect. You just need smarter swaps.
This is exactly how we eat inside my programs - no starving, no boring food!

5 mistakes that kept me stuck for years — before the year that actually worked. 🤍 None of it was a lack of effort. It was the approach.

PIN THIS, SAVE THIS OR SHARE IT - because sequence = results
Ladies, stop doing cardio first. Here’s why lifting first wins:
1. Muscle first
Fresh energy = stronger lifts = more
muscle built + protected.
Cardio first? You’re gassed. And tired lifts don’t build anything.
2. Fat burn goes up
Lift → deplete glycogen → cardio → body uses more fat as fuel. Simple.
3. Better body comp
Lift to keep/ build muscle.
Cardio after to burn fat.
You need both, in that order.
4. Shorter cardio, same results
Post-lift your HR spikes faster. You don’t need 1 hour of treadmill. 20-30 mins hits different.
Stop grinding harder. Start training smarter.
This is the stuff that actually moves the needle.

Perfect start to a weekend!
Walking is amazing for health. But it’s not what makes you look “lean.”
Here are 5 things I wish every woman knew:
1. Progressive overload is key. A lean
look = muscle you can see. And you
build that by gradually increasing your weights.
2. Pick a plan and stay consistent.
Consistency will always beat going all-out once in a while.
3. Eat to support your goals. Lean = visible muscle + lower body fat. For most women that means prioritizing protein + balanced meals.
4. Daily movement still matters. Moving more throughout the day is healthy.
But you don’t need to hit 20k steps.
5. 30 mins of strength training, consistently. That’s all it takes to see real change.

Years of extreme, then nothing, then extreme again. That was my whole early 20s.
I didn’t get here by trying harder. After a lot of trial and error, I got here by building something boring enough to repeat on my worst weeks, not just my best ones.
