Spain's world cup hero Olga Carmona suffered a tragic loss as she learnt about her fathers death after the match. Carmona's father was suffering from long time illness. He had already passed away on Friday but her family members decided not to tell her the shocking news so she could completely focus on the finals against England.
May her fathers soul rest in peace!! 🙏🙏🙏

The Dutch women 🇧🇶Sarina Wiegman is the one of few women football manager having reached the finals of a football tournament with two different nations. UEFA Womens Euro Cup victory with Netherlands in 2017, later WC finals 2019, Euro Cup win 2022 and Fifa WC 2023 finals with England womens team🇬🇧 . Evidently one of few of womens successfull football managers. Despite having lost the finals which she doesnt regrets at all, she has in a sense changed the womens football. 👩🦳💪💪

England players seemed devasted and heartbroken after the 1-0 loss to Spain at the end of the game. After the extra added 12 minutes ended indicating English teams defeat against Spain in the Fifa World Cup 2023 finals. Second best team in the tournament after Spain. Should be proud of yourself and performance.. Well played..🤩🤩🥳🥳

Spain lifts the Fifa Womens World Cup 2023 beating their european opponents England in a highly anticipated fixture played at the Accor stadium in Sydney in Australia on 20th August, Sunday evening. Olga Carmona scored the only and the winning goal for her team in the 29th minute of the game. Carmona's winning shot helped Spain win their first Fifa women's world cup title.

Sportsmail coloumnist Simon Jordan believes that if Chelsea re- appoints Frank Lampard as a replacement for Graham Potter- it would turn as a 'dreadful decision' from the club’s top hierarchy. In certain quarters Chelsea are a ‘laughing stock’ if they do so. Lampard managed Chelsea for 18 months from 2019-2021 before being replaced by Thomas Tuchel. Former Blues chief Lampard was seen in the stands watching the goalless draw Chelsea played against Liverpool on Tuesday night.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich suffered a major upset in the DFB- Pokal as they got knocked out in a 1-2 thrilling contest of the annual German football club competition in the quarter finals against the fourth placed SC Freiburg. Upamecano scored the opener for Bayern in the 20th minute with an assist from Kimmich. Seven minutes later Höfler scored an equalized for his side Freiburg. The scoreline remained the same until the late 95th minute in the second half when another shot from Höfler got deflected from Jamal Musiala’s arm. Lucas Holer wins the game for his team by converting the penalty into goal. With this defeat ends Bayern’s new manager Thomas Tuchel’s dream of lifting the treble. This is the first time Freiburg secured a win at the Allianz Arena against Bayern. Intrestingly, Freiburg have never won the DFB Pokal cup, however they lost 4-2 on penalties in the last year’s finals against RB Leipzig.

doesn't seem to be delighted 😤😑 after the French 🇫🇷 team played a 1-1 draw against Croatia 🇫🇷 last night in the fixture at Pljud stadium 🏟️. 🧓Deschamps expressed his dejection 😒stating they didn't played 🏃♂️their best game. They got couple of chances 🤔 but failed to capitalize on them.
'We did good things considering all the changes. We were ahead and could have scored more but it's a pity we gifted them the equaliser,' said Deschamps, who insisted France's goal 🎯 was to gear up for the World Cup. 🏆
'The result is not satisfying and even if it's a competitive game our goal is to prepare for (the World Cup at) the end of the year.'
