๐ When opportunity meets structured sports education, achievement follows.
Weโre proud to celebrate the outstanding performances of students from the Government Model School in Trichy participating in Sportsaโs Integrated Sports & Physical Education Program.
From chess, tennikoit, carrom and badminton to kho-kho, athletics, throwball and silambattam, our students have demonstrated remarkable talent across disciplines - winning medals, securing championship positions and competing with confidence at U/14, U/17 and U/19 levels.
But these medals represent more than sporting success.
They reflect the impact of an Integrated Sports Program that brings together:
โ
Regular, structured physical education
โ
Exposure to multiple sports and traditional games
โ
Progressive skill development and coaching
โ
Fitness, coordination, agility and motor-skill development
โ
Teamwork, discipline and leadership
โ
Confidence-building through practice and competition
โ
Equal access to sporting opportunities for students from underserved communities
In underprivileged schools, a structured sports program can be transformative. It helps identify hidden talent, strengthens student engagement and creates professional pathways that children may never have had access to otherwise.
Talent is everywhere. Access is not.
Sportsaโs Integrated Sports & Physical Education Program is designed to bridge that gap - helping schools build healthier, more confident and more capable students through consistent sporting opportunities.
Congratulations to every student, teacher and school partner who contributed to these achievements. Your victories inspire us to take the power of sport to even more schools and communities.
Every child deserves the chance to play, participate and excel. ๐

What would you do if you suddenly found yourself in an unsafe situation?
That was the question we explored with 150 students from Grades 9 and 10 during our Safe & Strong: Preventive Self-Defence Workshop at a government school in Chennai.
This workshop was not about teaching students to fight.
It was about helping them recognise risks early, avoid potentially unsafe situations, make responsible decisions under pressure, and understand when to seek help.
Using the curriculum from our Safe & Strong book, students worked through 70 real-life, situation-based questions and engaged in meaningful discussions about:
- Recognising warning signs and potential risks.
- Responding calmly and confidently.
- Taking responsibility for personal safety.
- Taking precautionary measures and avoiding danger.
- Supporting others during difficult situations.
- Knowing when and how to seek help.
The studentsโ questions, perspectives, and participation made the session especially meaningful.
By the end of the session, they walked away with something more valuable than information: greater confidence, better awareness, and a stronger belief in their ability to take care of themselves and others.
Every student deserves the knowledge and life skills to stay safe and help others do the same.
Get involved by sponsoring Safe & Strong workshops for underprivileged students across Tamil Nadu, or volunteering to facilitate these empowering sessions. Connect with us at [email protected] to know more!
