Class Begins Today!
We are waiting to welcome little children who would travel their path with us. Dance is not mere learning compositions or performance. Dance is a companion for life - from building our physical and mental abilities to nurturing our mind and soul.
We are looking for adults who want to rekindle their love for dance; determined people who wish to make Bharatanatyam a part of their lives and Comeback dancers who have had a break and want to accept the challenge of dancing again!
We also have special activity batch for 4+ kids on storytelling and expressions and a Fitness Through Bharatanatyam batch for Adult learners.

Lakshana Lahari: Compilation of 9 Grammar texts for Natya
In the pandemic period, Sri Mudhraalaya flagged off the first Batch of Teachers Training for Bharatanatyam in a Trimester module. Dr Lakshmi Ramaswamy has designed the syllabus that included subjects spanning practical dancing, theoretical aspects, history of the art etc., along with various systems of society that intersected with are like: religion, sculpture, painting, court tradition, temple tradition, folk tradition, literature, essentials for a teacher, especially ethics.
Being the first batch, at the end of the course they were told to reach out to Grammar texts other than well known Natyasastra and Abhinaya Darpana. Teachers searched, read, worked and wrote with guidance of Dr Lakshmi. The book was officially released in 2023, yet understanding the essentiality of diacritics, further prints were halted. With Dr Indu BS who stepped in to work on that, the work moved and her it is. Lakshana Lahari ready in print and out for purchase and circulation.
9 teachers have worked on 9 Grammar texts of which two are in Tamil and others, Sanskrit. It is a very useful hand book for Academics of Art (Natya), teachers, researchers and curious minds.
