ABOUT THE MARATHON:
A 5km & 10km long Run For Equality Marathon is organized every year on the 14th of April to pay tributes to Bharat Ratna, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on the occasion of his Birth Anniversary. The purpose of this marathon is to voice against caste discrimination and social injustice. This
event is inspired by Dr. Ambedkar's prolific work “Annihilation of Caste” which is one of the most important, yet neglected works of Dr. Ambedkar in India. Written in 1936, it is an audacious denunciation of the caste system. It encapsulates the ideas of a rebel about how caste and religion oppress people - socially, morally, and economically.

Date: 14th April 2022
Time: Marathon starts at 5.50 AM
Start Point: Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Gate, Aurangabad
Reporting Time: 5.15 AM at the starting point
Spot Registration: Begins at 5.00 AM - closes 5:15 AM at the starting point
A) Prior Registration is required for participating in the marathon. You can register by filling out the registration form online at www.runforequality.org
B) Please use the hashtag #RunForEquality to post on Social Media about the marathon. Our social media team will connect you with the help of hashtag
C) You can support us by Liking the page and sharing it on your Facebook Timeline and by following our Twitter handle. D) Please ensure that you are medically fit for taking the marathon. If unsure please consult with your physician for fitness. E) Wearing comfortable sportswear and sports shoes are recommended for ease of running.
