The Israel Self Defense Center was founded in 2004 in the city of Modi’in (located between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem). We established the Center in Modi’in because Modi’in is a unique, modern Israeli city with a young population and a large number of children – it is the city of the future. On Friday, 20/5, a special self-defense training of the Israel Karate Federation was held at the Wingate Institute.
The training was conducted by Amnon Maor, the self-defense expert and head of the self-defense division of Karate Federation.
Twelve coaches participated, all wearing black belts.
The training included techniques of release from attacks, use of the short stick and other principles for self-defense.
This is the first training in the series and later there will also be additional training of defense with regular batons, defending against knife attacks and more.
