Your sitting position might be hurting you—and it’s NOT because you’re slouching.

Think about how you sit throughout the day.

Do you cross the same leg every time?

Lean into the same elbow?

Shift your weight onto the same hip for hours?

Those little habits can keep your body loaded in the same position over and over again.

Then your hip starts aching.

Your lower back feels stiff.

Your neck or shoulder starts bothering you.

And you wonder, “What did I do?”

Sometimes there wasn’t one big thing.

It was the same small position, repeated for hours every single day.

The answer isn’t finding one magical “perfect” sitting position.

Change positions. Switch sides. Get up. Move. Stop giving your body the exact same load all day long.

The best sitting position?

Your next one.

If you have to sacrifice your form to lift the weight, the weight is too heavy.

There’s nothing impressive about adding another plate if you can’t control it.

Rushed reps.
Jerking the weight.
Losing position.
Trying to keep up with the person next to you.

That isn’t progressive overload.
That’s ego lifting.

Getting stronger means gradually asking your body to handle more while maintaining control—not throwing technique away just to say you lifted heavier.

The number on the bar is only impressive if you’re actually in control of it.

Lift with intention.
Progress with patience.

Your goal isn’t to prove how strong you are today.
It’s to still be strong enough to train tomorrow.

💬 DM “STRONG” if you want to learn how to build strength that lasts.

You work out 3x a week… so why is your lower back KILLING you halfway through the workday?

Look at what happens after your workout.

You get to work.

Sit at your desk.

Answer emails.

Take calls.

Finish reports.

And before you realize it, you’ve barely changed position for hours.

Your body doesn’t care that you went to the gym this morning if the rest of your day is spent glued to an office chair.

And you don’t necessarily need some complicated stretching routine to change that.

You need to stop letting your desk keep your body in one position all day.

Every 30–60 minutes, interrupt the sitting.

Get up and walk around the office.

Do 10 squats next to your desk.

Bring each knee toward your chest.

Reach your arms overhead like you’re trying to grab the ceiling.

Move your hips. Change positions. Give your back a break from the chair.

It might only take a few minutes—but those minutes add up across an eight-hour workday.

Your body wasn’t designed to sit at a desk from 9–5 and then expect one hour at the gym to undo it all.

Your workout matters.

But what you do during the other 23 hours matters too.

If you’re afraid of falling, doing random balance exercises isn’t enough.

Standing on one leg for 30 seconds might look like “balance training.”

But feeling steady in real life requires more than that.

You need strength + control.

That’s why I use exercises like supported single-leg stands and slow, controlled side steps.

Supported single-leg stands teach your body to stabilize while giving you something secure to hold onto.

Slow side steps strengthen the muscles around your hips that help control side-to-side movement and keep you steady.

Then, as you get stronger and more confident, the exercises progress.

Because the goal isn’t to become good at a balance exercise.

The goal is to walk, turn, climb stairs and move through everyday life without constantly worrying about falling.

Fear doesn’t disappear because someone tells you, “Just be careful.”

Confidence comes when your body proves to you that it can handle the movement.

💬 DM “BALANCE” if you want to feel stronger and steadier on your feet.

Anxiety may improve before your body even starts looking stronger.

Anxiety doesn't just live in your mind — it lives in your body too. And that's exactly why strength training helps. Before you see bigger muscles or major physical changes, your anxiety may start shifting first.

Your mind feels quieter. Your anxiety has somewhere to go instead of building up all day. You handle stress better. You feel less restless. Your anxiety doesn't control your day the way it used to. You sleep better. You feel more in control of your body — and your anxiety.

A lot of people start lifting to change their body… and don't realize their anxiety may be changing too. 💙

Struggling with anxiety and don't know where to start? DM me 'STRONG' and let's build a plan that helps your mind as much as your body.

If I, G-D forbid, lost ALL my strength tomorrow and had to rebuild my body from ZERO, I’d start with these 3 exercises:

Not 20 machines.

Not a complicated workout split.

Just three foundational movements:

SQUAT.
DEADLIFT.
SHOULDER PRESS.

Why?

Because together, they train a huge amount of your body.

Squats build strong legs and hips—and strength you use every time you sit down, stand up or climb stairs.

Deadlifts strengthen your glutes, hamstrings and back—and teach you to safely pick things up from the ground.

Shoulder presses build your shoulders, arms and trunk strength—and help you stay strong overhead.

You don’t need more exercises just because Instagram keeps showing you new ones.

Master the basics. Add resistance gradually. Get really good at them. Get stronger.

💬 DM “STRONG” if you want to build strength that actually carries over into real life.

A broken hip can change your life in seconds. But preventing one starts YEARS before the fall.

Most hip fractures happen because of a fall—but the severity of that fall can depend heavily on what was happening before you ever hit the ground.

How strong were your bones?
How strong were the muscles around your hips and legs?
How quickly could your body react when you lost your balance?

That’s why fall prevention isn’t just about removing rugs and watching where you step.

It’s about building a body that is harder to knock down—and bones that are better prepared to withstand impact.

Strength training. Balance training. Weight-bearing exercise. Progressive loading.

Don’t wait for the fall to discover what your body has lost.

Build the strength now that you may need to protect your independence later.

💬 DM “BONES” if you’re ready to start building stronger bones and a stronger body.

Your knee might be taking the blame for a problem that starts higher up.

You run.
Your knee hurts.
So you stop running.
The pain improves.
You start again…

and the pain comes right back.

Why?

Because rest can calm symptoms, but it doesn’t necessarily change the reason your knee was struggling with the load in the first place.

Your glutes and hips help control your pelvis and thigh every time your foot hits the ground.

Building strength there—along with your quads and calves—and managing your running load can make your entire leg better prepared for every stride.

So instead of endlessly repeating:
Run → pain → rest → repeat…

Build a body that can handle the demands of running.

Your knee may be where you FEEL the problem.
That doesn’t mean it’s the only place you should TRAIN.

💬 DM “KNEES” if knee pain keeps getting between you and the things you love doing.

Chronic pain isn't just physical. It creates a fear loop that keeps you moving less.

Less movement leads to more stiffness. More stiffness leads to more pain. Chronic pain feeds itself — this is called the vicious cycle.

And the cycle convinces you that rest is the answer, when it's actually the trap. The longer chronic pain goes unaddressed, the harder that loop is to break.

Breaking that loop is where real recovery starts.

Want help breaking your own chronic pain cycle? DM me 'PAIN' and let's build a plan that gets you moving again.
