On determination and leading by example:

At an exciting event last week at the דרכא Darca School in Julis, our BFP students received their gi (karate suits).

The past year has been very challenging for all of us and in Julis, due to the situation, we had to change groups mid-year. This was far from an ideal situation, but with the right partners - anything is possible!

Our Sensei, Mahmod Hgaze, skillfully led the new group. The principal, Abir Abbas, was a source of support and encouragement throughout the year and the class teacher, Munir Abu Malek, was fully on board with our “Derech Erech” program, leading by true example and fully joining the activity with his students, as you can see from the photos and videos. He even earned him his very own gi (Karate suit).

As the school year comes to a close, we would like to thank Avishay Grinshpan and the Darca Network for the ongoing partnership and trust we receive.

We wish all students a pleasant and safe vacation. We can’t wait for next year!
על נחישות ודוגמא אישית:

באירוע מרגש בשבוע שעבר ב״דרכא ג׳וליס״ קיבלו התלמידות והתלמידים את חליפות הקראטה שלהם.

השנה היתה מאתגרת מאד לכולנו ובג׳וליס אף נאלצנו להחליף קבוצה באמצע השנה. לא מצב אידיאלי, אך עם הצוות הנכון - הכל אפשרי.
סנסיי מחמוד שלנו קלט קבוצה חדשה. המנהלת, עביר עבאס, תמכה ועודדה לאורך כל השנה והמחנך מוניר אבו מאלק, החליט שהוא הולך עם הפרויקט ״עד הסוף״.

כמו שתוכלו לראות בסרטונים והתמונות, מוניר, בדוגמא אישית מעוררת כבוד, משתתף עם התלמידים בפעילות בצורה מלאה (לא סתם גם הוא קיבל חליפה..)

עם סיום שנת הלימודים אנו מבקשים להודות לרשת ״דרכא״ על האמון הרב לו אנו זוכים.

מאחלים חופשה נעימה ובטוחה לכל התלמידות והתלמידים ומצפים בקוצר רוח לשנה הבא!

We are so excited to take part in the exhibition which was launched today at Ben Gurion Airport! The exhibition, co-created by Reuven Ruvi Rivlin - ראובן רובי ריבלין and Vibe Israel, celebrates the diversity of Israeli society and shares the stories of the people and organizations who are making Shared Society in Israel a reality.

Stories like the story of Sensei Hazem Abo Kweder from Abu Quidar, Sensei עמנואל קימיאגרוב from Kiryat G*t and their students. A story of friendship which started on the mat and now goes far beyond the dojo.

אנו נרגשים להשתתף בתערוכת חמסה עלינו אשר הושקה היום בנתב"ג! התערוכה, יוזמה משתותפת של בית הנשיא ("תקווה ישראלית") וארגון Vibe Israel, חוגגת את הפסיפס הישראלי ומשתפת את סיפורם של האנשים והארגונים אשר חיים חיים משותפים כל יום.

סיפורים כמו של סנסיי חאזם אבו קוידר מאבו קוידר, סנסיי עמנואל קימיאגרוב מקריית גת והחניכים שלהם. סיפור של חברות אשר נרקמה בדוג'ו והיום היא פורצת את קירות הדוג'ו.

Danny Hakim: "There are over 30 sports for peace organizations in Israel that are using sport to build bridges between different communities. With more than 100,000 youth involved in these activities, the transformative power of sport has the potential to empower the next generation of doers, thinkers and builders of a more harmonious society”.

Hazem Abu Quidar: "“Coming together strengthens the values we have. The more our youth are exposed to each other in a safe, friendly and fun environment, the stronger the foundation for a shared society.”

אתמול בג'רוזלם פוסט: מייסד בודו למען השלום, דני חכים וסנסיי חאזם אבו קוידר מספרים על אימון החוף לעמן חיים משותפים שהתקיים בשבוע שעבר ביחד עם ״הגל שלי״ ו״חרדים לקצב״.

דני חכים: "בישראל קיימים מעל 30 ארגוני ספורט לשלום אשר משתמשים בספורט לבניית גשרים בין תרבויות שונות. עם יותר מ-100,000 בני ובנות נוער בפעילות, לספורט יש את הכוח להעצים את הדור הבא לבניית חברה הרמונית יותר״.

סנסיי חאזם אבו קוידר: ״כל אימון משותף יוצר אמון. ככל שהנוער שלנו ייחשף יותר אחד לשני בסביבה בטוחה, שמחה וידידותית, כך יתחזקו היסודות לחברה משותפת ובריאה״.

Training for Shared Society: Today, Jews and Arabs came together through sports in the mixed city of Jaffa in a show of unity and friendship.

Young martial artists and surfers, Jewish and Arab, Bedouin and Haredi, came together on the beach of Jaffa to reaffirm the transformative power of sports to unite and build trust between diverse communities. Together we celebrated our common love for sport through joint martial arts training and surfing sessions. We were honoured that the Japanese Ambassador to Israel, HE Koichi Mizushima, joined the event.

A big thank you to our partners, instructors and chanichim! Every joint training is trust building.

אימון לחיים משותפים: היום יהודים וערבים נפגשו דרך ספורט בעיר המעורבת, יפו, בביטוי של אחדות וחברות.

אמני לחימה וגולשים צעירים, ערבים ויהודים, בהם בדואים, חילונים וחרדים, נפגשו לחזק את כוחו של הספורט ככלי לחבר בין קהילות ולבנות אמון. ביחד חגגו את אהבתנו המשותפת לספורט באימון משותף. אנו מודים לשגריר יפן בישראל, מר קואיצ׳י מיזושימה, שהשתתף באירוע.
