🏆 Pat Clancy Memorial – Results

A great three days of golf at Youghal Golf Club for the Pat Clancy Memorial, played from 21st–23rd August.

This competition holds a special place in the club calendar as we remember Pat Clancy, a former Captain and President of Youghal Golf Club.

Pat served as Captain in 1994 and President in 2003 and 2004, carrying out both roles with distinction. He was an ever-present figure around the club and someone who gave a huge amount of his time to Youghal Golf Club over the years.

It was great to once again have Pat’s wife Mona, sons Turlough & Eamonn, daughter Darina, and the Clancy family involved in a weekend that continues to remember Pat and his contribution to the club.

On the course, the V-Par format produced some excellent scoring and a very tight leaderboard.

Paul O’Driscoll and Alan Cullagh led the field with an impressive 6 Up, while Sean O’Connell and Sean Broderick were just one behind on 5 Up.

Playing off scratch, Paul Moylan produced an excellent gross performance to finish Level and take the Best Gross prize.

❤️ Captains’ Charity Days – 26th & 27th August

A reminder that our Captains’ Charity Days take place next Wednesday and Thursday, with this year’s event supporting two organisations that provide vital services to our community — the Youghal RNLI and Critical Youghal First Responders.

Both are powered by people who give their time to be there when they are needed most, and we’d love to see a big turnout from members, visitors and the wider community to support them.

A fantastic result from the CASA Classic, held at Youghal Golf Club on 23rd July, with over €7,000 raised on the day.

CASA – the Caring & Sharing Association – does fantastic work supporting people with disabilities, creating opportunities to build friendships, enjoy social activities and be part of their local community, supported by a dedicated network of volunteers.

A huge thank you to everyone who played, sponsored, donated or helped out on the day. Raising over €7,000 is a brilliant reflection of the support behind the event and will make a real difference to CASA and the work they do.
