Our first birthday celebrations & they didn't disappoint!

We invited teams from Hollywood GAA & LGFA Valleymount LGFA Ballymore Eustace GAA & LGFA 💚💛 & Donard/Glen GAA to join us for our celebrations & those ladies showed up & gave us a super day of football, with plenty of chats & laughs thrown in!!

It was an incredible day, the tunes were pumping, all the ladies were in great sprits, (some were full of great spirits), the weather couldnt have been better, there was super energy around the place & we were delighted with all the support shown for our very first blitz & we can't wait to do it again!

After the craic was had on the field, we carried on the celebrations & the socialising, down in Pumphouse Dunlavin with some food, drink & cake!

Thanks to all the ladies who turned up yesterday to help us celebrate, it was amazing!

All the ladies were out in force this weekend!

Sunday morning kicked off in Ballinakill, where our under 8s & u10s travelled to play their monster blitz!
And what a morning, the girls were fantastic.
Each one of them turned up to play football & show everything they have been training & working at each week & it was amazing to watch.

We were treated to some super games of football.
Huge well done to all the ladies & thank you to each of the parents for travelling.

A super morning spent well!!

Another great morning for our U7 & U9 boys and girls!

We welcomed teams Donard/The Glen and Kilbride and we were treated to some super football.

It’s a pleasure to watch these kids play and see all the hard work at training paying off, with lots of tackling, handpassing, shooting, hopping and soloing on display. 👏

A big thank you to Donard/Glen GAA & Kilbride GAA & LGFA for travelling with great numbers, to all our referees for helping out, and of course to all the parents for always having the kids available for games. 🟢🟡

Keep up the great work, boys and girls — you’re doing a fantastic job! 🙌

The GAA and Amazon are delighted to announce the return of Glór na nÓg for 2026 — a €100,000 Community Funding Initiative giving young GAA members the chance to have their voices heard and inspire the future of our games. 🏐

From 10 August to 21 September 2026, GAA members aged 10–18 are invited to tell us:

🔶️Who is your favourite player from any GAA code - hurling, football, camogie, ladies' football, handball, or rounders - and why?” 
🔷️Imagine yourself in the future as a GAA star and you are talking to your favourite player. Think Big! Tell them how they inspired you.”

This year, Glór na nÓg is going global, with GAA clubs outside Ireland invited to take part too! 🌍

And there’s €100,000 in club funding up for grabs:

🏆 Grand Prize: 1 club wins €10,000
🥇 Province Prizes: 4 clubs win €5,000 each
🏅 County Prizes: 28 clubs win €2,000 each

Winners will be selected through a combination of AI-assisted scoring and manual review. The selection process will evaluate submissions based on: Passion & sincerity, creativity and imagination, detail & specificity, and relevance & engagement.

OUR G4M&O BIRTHDAY BLITZ!!!

It's our Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others 1st anniversary & to celebrate we are hosting our first blitz here at home!!!

We are looking forward to welcoming ladies from several G4M&O local clubs here to take part in the blitz & help us celebrate our anniversary!!

We'll have a tuck shop here on the day also to keep the kids happy!!

We'd love to see lots of support here next Sunday!!

Well done to our u 13 team last night in the championship at home to Tinahely.
The game finished in a draw after a great game of football between 2 good sides that gave it everything on the night.
The game had everything from great scores to super defending and blocking and some excellent saves from the goalkeepers.
Thanks to the referee Pat Dunne who was very encouraging to all the lads in a game that was played in a very sporting manner.

Dunlavin squeezed out a one-point win over Annacurra, 2-10 to 0-15, after a pulsating finish in Baltinglass in Group 1, Round 2 of the Intermediate Football Championship.

Dunlavin flew out of the blocks. Sean Doyle clipped the first of several fine points for Dunlavin, with Eoin Miley adding frees and a superb score from play to open a 0-3 to 0-0 cushion. Annacurra settled and reeled off points of their own, but Tom Doyle’s finish to the net midway through the half from an Eoin Miley pass, restored Dunlavin’s edge. By the break, however, Annacurra’s steady shooting had them back level at 0-7 to 1-4—all square on the whistle.

Sean Doyle steered over a brilliant point from a tight angle seconds into the restart and added another soon after, yet Annacurra produced their best spell to move 0-12 to 1-7 ahead entering the final quarter.
Dunlavin turned to the bench, introducing Jack
Reid for Pat Kehoe, and the impact was instant: Reid struck for a precious “two-pointer” to haul the visitors within one at 1-9 to 0-13.

With momentum swinging, Sean Doyle levelled it at 1-10 to 0-13, before the game’s decisive moment arrived on 25 minutes of the second half—Tom Doyle pounced again, rifling home his second goal to push Dunlavin three clear at 2-10 to 0-13. Annacurra responded with two late points to set up a nervy finish, but the Dunlavin rearguard held firm through added time to see out a 16–15 victory.

Key contributors for the winners included the clinical Tom Doyle with a 2 important goals, the ever-reliable Sean Doyle leading the point-taking, and Eoin Miley’s composed frees. Reid’s lively cameo—after replacing Kehoe—proved a crucial swing, while Matt Miley also entered late for Darragh Corrigan as Dunlavin managed the closing stages.

Full-time: Annacurra 0-15, Dunlavin 2-10. Dunlavin leave Baltinglass with two vital group points after a contest that ebbed and flowed before being settled by ruthless finishing and bench impact.

Best wishes to Jake Muldowney who landed badly on his back while making a hugely important save on the final whistle, hopefully he'll be back on his feet asap!!
