What a year it's been for Wexford Swimming Club. π₯πββοΈ
We are a small club. But this year, at both the Irish Age Group and Senior National Championships, our swimmers proved that heart, dedication and hard work can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the country.
π
AGE GROUP NATIONALS β UNIVERSITY OF LIMERICK
16 A Finals. Over 20 finalists. And every single finals swim was a personal best on the heat time.
π₯ Alvar β Triple Gold: 400m, 800m & 1500m Freestyle
π₯ Daniel β Six medals: Gold in 400IM, 200IM & 100m Fly; Silver in 200m Back, 200m Freestyle & 100m Freestyle
π Chloe, Amelia & Niamh McCarthy β three swimmers from our club in the same U14 400m IM A Final
π Isabella β A Finals in the 100m Breaststroke and 200m IM
π Sarah, Mia, Zophia & Emma did us proud on every level!
π Killian β made 2 B Finals smashing his PB's. Amazing to watch!
π
SENIOR NATIONALS β NAC DUBLIN
π₯ Julia β TWO bronze medals (200m Breaststroke & 400IM), plus A Finals in the 200IM and 50m Breaststroke
π Kate β a standout 400m Freestyle PB and a strong 1500m Freestyle finish
π Lily β an A Final 7th in the 200m Backstroke and a string of PBs
π Sinead β A Final 10th in the 400m Freestyle, with PBs in heat AND final
π Aisling β PBs across multiple events and a hard-fought B Final
π Ben & Kristian β representing our club with pride on the national stage making us so proud again
None of this happens by accident. It happens through years of early mornings, missed weekends, and a level of dedication most people never see. That's what we're proudest of β not just the medals, but the character behind every single one of them.
Because here's what swimming really gives these young people, long after the medals are put away: lifelong friendships, a work ethic that carries into everything they do, real teamwork, and a routine and discipline that shapes who they become. That's the real win.
This is what Wexford Swimming Club is built on β a small club with a big heart, punching well above its weight.
And we want more young people to be part of it. π
This month, we're opening our doors to enthusiastic new swimmers of all levels who want to be part of something like this. If that's your child, or you know someone it might be for, get in touch β we'd love to hear from you.

Let's go, Wexford! ππββοΈ
