With it being the 30th anniversary of Wexford’s memorable All-Ireland hurling win of 1996, it’s been a week of looking back for Larry O’Gorman.
However, at the same time, the Faythe Harriers man is also looking forward to another sporting challenge.
On Thursday, September 10, in front of a capacity crowd at Enniscorthy Greyhound Stadium, ‘The Brother’ as Larry is affectionately known in Wexford, is going to take on a greyhound in a footrace to raise funds for ongoing works at the Harriers’ Páirc Charman home.
“I’ll tell you, it’s 50-50,” Larry says of his chances.

Our U8 Camogie team played a perfectly timed blitz between the showers in St. Brigids Blackwater GAA Club this evening. They showed excellent grit, determination and skill against great opponents in our hosts & Crossabeg Ballymurn Gaa Club. This group is coming on in leaps & bounds.
