Very Pink Run
The historic Kilkenny Castle overlooked the course for the Very Pink Run earlier today. A run that's not officially timed but aimed more as an awareness and fundraiser for Cancer research.
Samantha Donegan and Ryan Ellard both ran the 8ish km route decked out in their finest Pink attire in weather which can only be described as challenging
Well done to you both.

Oylegate Half Marathon & 10k.
After a blazing hot Summer the weather changed with a bang as everyone prepared for the Olyegate race series.
Warming up on a damp morning hits differently as your feet get wet and dirty.
A popular event among our club members over the yeats and this year 15 took part across the 2 races.
In the Half Marathon 3 ran and Tony was 3rd in the M50 category.
The 10k saw another 12 run with Kirsty 3rd in the women's race, Lisa 1st junior girl, Michael 3rd in M60 and Helen 2nd in F70 and a few grabbed a PB to add to the buzz.
The gang reported a lovely buzz around the event and were grateful for the refreshments afterwards.
Well done to all involved I organising the event and congratulations to a club members proudly wearing our colurs today.

Kilmore Cross Country Winter League
A lovely evening saw Kilmore AC host night 1 of their Winter League. The Burrow in Kilmore saw lots of athletes running back and forth on the out and back loop.
A crew of club members made their way to run the 3k race with some hitting cross country for the first time.
Ryan was first in the men's race and Kirsty 2nd and Casey was 3rdin the women's

Weekly Weekend Parkrun Roundup
A milestone event for our men's captain as he celebrated his 500th volunteer at Parkrun. John Dier was one of the founders of a parkrun in Wexford which began in Johnstown Castle and then moved to Wexford Racecourse.
He has built a welcoming and friendly event which tourists always comment on as they finish. Congratulations John.

Clonmel Half Marathon
A great run from Brian Smyth on Sunday morning as he completed the Clonmel Half Marathon In a time if 1 hour 29 minutes.
All the training runs in the warm weather paid off as he took 7 minutes of his time from last year at the same event.

Weekly Weekend Parkrun Roundup
Last Saturday appeared as if it would be a lot cooler but looks can be deceiving and as the morning progressed the temperature creeped up. Huge numbers attended the Racecourse Parkrun with close to 200 people finishing the event to Nialls encouraging words.
Brian, Rob and Fiachra shared the furthest from home nod last Saturday as they were in Birmingham for the European Athletics and it was nice to see Niamh back in her runners again.

Run the Ridge
Congratulations to Ryan Ellard who was in action in Co. Wicklow at the weekend.
Ryan was taking on the challenge of the 30k route in the Run the Ridge completing the course in 3hours 15 mins.
A tough event, well done Ryan

Two of our members took on triathlons over the weekend.
John Dier completed the Westport Triathlon in County Mayo while Paul Harpur was closer to home completing Tri the Hook on the Hook peninsula.
