Tón Le Gaoithe - Wind Sprints Meet: The only sprints meet of its kind in Ireland where races will be run with the direction of the wind on Sat may 13 2017
Chance for sprinters to avail of one of Ireland's newest and fastest mondo tracks with all sprints being run with "Tón Le Gaoithe" (Wind in your back). Events include 100m where there will be two rounds of seeded races, sprint hurdles, invitational 200m, Javelin and High Jump. Electronic timing under AAI permit and cash prizes on the night. Joseph Ojewumi took the male athlete of the meet award also sponsored by Gofyt for his double wins in the men’s 100m. The tallaght sprinter ran 10.6 and 10.5 en route to both wins. Well done Joe and coach Daniel

Deirdre Murray female athlete of the meet receiving her award from sponsors Gofyt founder Jason Harvey. Deirdre took an unbelievable 1.7 seconds off her 400 hurdle pb running 59.88 and a European junior A standard. Well done Deirdre and coach Aideen Sinnott!👐🏼

Big shoutout to Waterford Regional Sports Centre and their staff for the use of their excellent facilities and services for tomorrow. Currently the venue plays host to the European u17 soccer champs and their award winning infield looks as spectacular as ever. We know the track is fast!
