Everyone loves a coffee nowadays (myself included) or a can of monster, but a common mistake I see is the consumption of these caffeine products AFTER exercise. Caffeine is a great pre workout however is also a natural diuretic meaning it can cause you go to the toilet and lose fluids therefor decreasing the recovery process after a session and increasing fatigue .
So keep your caffeine as a pre workout NOT for post workout ππ
Nice video about improving mobility even from a seated position . Great for those who work in an office or are seated for large portions of the day
Hey everyone apologies for the lack of posts lately a new job and other ventures took my full attention for a while but I will try be more active over the next few months πππͺ
Unfortunately in Ireland people often don't include exercise as part of their daily/weekly rituals like they would going to work, making dinner, or going to sleep etc.
Instead its often viewed as something extra that "Can" be done instead of "Needs" to be done
Therefor because its not in ur daily routine its often skipped because we are "too tired" or "not feeling it"
Try make your training/exercise a part of your routine don't ignore the physical and mental health benefits that come from regular exercise
There is 168 hours in a week surely 3-5 hours a week can be spared to be fit and healthy =)

Generally when people perform "cardio" it's a 20-30 min easy jog on a treadmill, bike or crosstrainer .
Why not reduce the time but increase the intensity studies have shown high intensity training is more beneficial in terms of spiking your heart rate and giving your body a metabolic kick burning calories throughout the day .
Try it out on one of our WATT bikes in kingfisher 10 rounds 5 second maximal sprint with 55 seconds easy cycle for recovery
That's an 11:1 recovery/work ratio sounds easy enough ... Game over π

Floss bands. Probably the best tool i have for improving mobility .
By wrapping them right around a joint and putting it through it's range of motion it breaks up some of the junk in an around the joint, promotes blood flow and loosens the tissue helping to improve mobility .
I use these generally as part of my warm up and they are relatively cheap (β¬10-β¬15 each)
So working in a gym one of the main goals I hear from people is "weight loss", whilst trying to reduce body fat is admirable and in a lot of cases necessary for health reasons, body composition is just one component of fitness.
Muscular strength, muscular endurance,
flexibility and cardiovascular fitness the other components should not be ignored.
In fact I believe if you train to perform and improve the quality of the movements and lifts then results will follow.
Don't obsess about weight loss, aim to improve and develop
