🏆 Cairn Community Games National Athletics Championships 🏆

A fantastic weekend for our athletes at the National Community Games Athletics Championships! 👏

🥇 Aria Collins Gold, U14 Long Jump with an excellent 4.90m! This completes a clean sweep of all national competitions in her age group in the Long Jump. What an achievement! 👏

🥉 Maria Cotter 3rd place, U16 200m

🥉 Harriet O’Loghlen 3rd place, U14 Long Jump

Seoda won her heat to qualify for the National Final. Unfortunately, she just missed out on a medal, but a fantastic achievement to reach the final.

Eamonn Óg McElligott competed in the Boys U16 1500m, finishing a very respectable 5th place, narrowly missing out on a medal.

Seóna McElligott competed in the U12 Girls 200m. She made it through to the semi final and finished 5th, just missing out on a place in the final. She really enjoyed the experience and represented Kerry brilliantly. 💪

We would like to thank Kerry County Council for financial assistance under the Community Support Fund 2026 in respect of the purchase of a Freelap Timing System for Tralee Harriers Athletic Club.

🏆 Tralee Harriers athletes shine for Kerry Athletics! 💚💛

Last weekend, Sunday 9th August at Morton Stadium, our Tralee Harriers athletes represented Kerry Athletics in the National League Final.

It was a truly fantastic team effort, with Kerry men taking gold, Kerry ladies taking silver, and the National League Inter County Cup coming to the Kingdom for the first time! 🏆

We are incredibly proud of all our athletes who contributed valuable points to their Kerry teams.

💛 Oisín Sookarry and Claire Hopkins: Competed in the preliminary round and helped secure Kerry's place in the Final.

Every performance contributed to the overall team points, making this a true team effort from start to finish.

🥈 Silver for Mark Reidy! 🇮🇪

A fantastic performance from Tralee Harriers athlete Mark Reidy at the National Masters Outdoor Championships 2026 in Morton Stadium.

Mark ran an excellent 55.12 to take silver in the M45 400m.

A brilliant performance and a well-deserved national masters medal! 👏🥈
