This weekend sees the Wallball season draw to a close with the Wallball All-Ireland Championship Finals taking place in Clough-Ballacolla on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August. The Juvenile Finals take place on the Saturday with the Adult Finals on the Sunday.
We are proud to have two representatives from the club competing in their respective grades...

• August 8th - Opening Ceremonies and Welcome Party

• Ausgust 8th or 9th - play begins depending on number of entries

• August 14th - finals and closing banquet

• Registration will open in November.

What a fantastic day for our Fèile Girls Team at the National Wallball Fèile Competition in Clogh Ballacolla! 👏

Our girls battled their way through a brilliant day of competition to finish as Girls Division 3 Runners-Up! 🥈

A huge Congratulations to Emily Monaghan, who was crowned Overall Division 3 Skills Winner! 🥇 An incredible achievement!

Bronagh, Emily, Faye & Ella gave it everything today — showing fantastic determination, teamwork, encouragement and sportsmanship throughout every game. It was brilliant to see the girls supporting one another, enjoying the experience and making friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

A massive well done girls — you should all be so proud of yourselves! 👏

And a huge thank you to our fantastic coaches and parents for their support and for travelling with the girls today.

Finally, thank you to Clogh Ballacolla for hosting the event.

The true spirit of sport is about so much more than the scoreboard. It is about showing respect, compassion and kindness to everyone who shares the court with us. Our opponents are not enemies— they are people who challenge us, inspire us and help us grow. The friendships we build, the encouragement we give, and the moments when we lift someone up can be far more meaningful than any win. Winning is wonderful, but character lasts longer than a result. Play hard, compete with pride, but never lose sight of the person beside you. Because the greatest victories in sport are not always the ones where we finish first— they are the ones where we leave others feeling valued, respected and proud to have shared the journey with us.

What a fantastic weekend at the Wallball Nationals in Galway!

The weekend got off to a great start on Friday evening, with Cathal Monaghan winning his first-round game in the Boys 13&U. He progressed to Saturday, where he faced strong Cavan opposition. After a brilliant performance — and plenty of smiles throughout — Cathal bowed out after his second-round match. A fantastic experience for Cathal competing at this grade and gaining valuable experience along the way.

Saturday saw our girls take to the courts...

Emily Monaghan and Ella Slattery kicked off the day in the Girls 13&U category. Emily had two fantastic wins, producing some excellent overhand serving and returns to secure her place in the semi-finals this morning. Unfortunately, she was beaten by strong Westmeath opposition, but what a great achievement to get to Finals Day!

Ella had a tough first-round match against strong Westmeath opposition before progressing to the Plate rounds. She bowed out after a great performance against stronger Tyrone opposition, with plenty of long rallies and some fantastic handball along the way.

In the Girls 15&U, Erin Neville and Ava Carey were both in action. Erin lost her opening round to Galway opposition and progressed to the Plate rounds, where she was narrowly defeated by Cork in a closely contested match.

Ava had a fantastic first-round win, producing some strong serving and powerful returns to progress to the semi-finals. After a brilliant effort, she lost out to very strong Antrim opposition — who went on to become the overall winner.
A great achievement!

A long weekend of handball, but an incredibly rewarding one. So much experience gained, memories made and friendships formed along the way.

Well done to all our players — we are incredibly proud of every one of you! 👏
