Community games 2026 💥

Well done to Annabelle Butler who won a bronze medal at this year’s Community Games finals last weekend. Annabelle finished off her track season in style representing Tipperary in the girls U12 100m. She produced 3 super runs, winning her heat and coming second in her semi final. In the final she ran brilliantly to finish in 3rd place overall. An excellent finish to a long season after her earlier success at the individual and relay level in July.

Well done Annabelle!

All Ireland Masters T&F championships 2026🤠

Ber Spillane was Moyne AC’s representative at this year’s Master’s Championships which took place this weekend in Morton Stadium, Santry. Ber, alongside over 500 other athletes from across the country had to face hot conditions as they battled for National medals. After a very successful indoor season, Ber had to manage some niggles in the run up to the championships but to her own credit and hard work, got herself into shape right on time for the competition.

Ber lined up in the 200m where she faced tough conditions with a strong wind on the start line. She ran a great race to bring home a national medal finishing 3rd in a time of 29.9s. She added to her medal collection in the 400m where she ran a super time of 66.78 to claim another bronze medal!

This proved to be a very successful championships for Ber, who’s hard efforts for the last 6 months have been rewarded with two national bronze medals. A remarkable achievement. Well done Ber!

Nationals T&F league.

Well done to Emma Delaney, Katie Bergin and Orla Pamplin who were on the Tipperary team that took the national county league title this weekend in Santry. For the third year in a row, the premier county, this year co-captained by Katie Bergin, have brought home the title.

Katie led by example, bringing home maximum points, winning the 100m&200m in style (12.00 & 24.53 respectively). She also lined out in the women’s 4 x100m relay team who came second. Orla Pamplin also ran on the 4x400m team who also finished second, running sub 4 minutes overall and securing 7 important points for the Tipperary team.

Overall, the combined score was 139 points for Tipperary, 10 points clear of second place Kerry. Well done to all the girls who took part across the season. We can look forward to more days like this ahead with the average age of the team just 20 years old! A special mention to Martin Flynn, team manager, on this super feat. A huge amount of work and dedication has been put in and it is wonderful to see their hard efforts pay off. Well done all!

County 10 Mile Championships 2026🌞

Fethard played host to the county 10 mile championship which saw a large field of over 70 athlete take on the 16km route. In what was a grueling course with a strong headwind and a hilly opening half, we had three Moyne AC athletes in the mix in the female race. Eileen Ely and Orla Healy worked together for the opening 10km alongside the eventual winner, Laura Earley of Fethard AC. The girls raced hard and were rewarded with Eileen coming home in second place in a time of 66m48s. She was followed by Orla Healy in third place in a time of 67m11s. Edel Delaney, in her first ever 10 mile race, ran a perfectly paced race to finish in a brilliant 14th place (79m127s). This great run ensured the girls were in the mix for the team medals, where they came out in second place, just a couple of points behind the winners. Well done girls on a great run.

A special mention to Fethard AC and Tipperary athletics for hosting this incredibly well-organized event. A huge thanks to all involved! Special thanks to Susan Pairceir Laste for the great pictures🤗

National T&F Championships 2026✨

Well done to Katie Bergin and Orla Pamplin who represented the club at this year’s Nationals in the prestigious Morton stadium in Dublin.

Orla Pamplin was in action on day 1 in the Senior Women’s 400m where she faced a stacked women’s field. She ran a super race to finish 5th in her heat in a time of 59.73. Well done Orla on a super season and enjoy a well earned break.

On Sunday we had Katie Bergin in the women’s 100m where she qualified comfortably through the heats and semi finals . In the final she faced a very competitive field, with the reigning champion Ciara Neville lining up amongst others. Katie ran a brilliant race to finish 6th overall in 11.79. Well done Katie on a super run! She also was generous with her time and met our younger athletes who had travelled to Dublin to support.

We also got to witness a very special moment where Athletics Ireland recognized the contribution of European champion Ciara Mageean to the sport. As we know Ciara is facing a difficult battle with illness and has met the challenge with resilience and bravery. To mark the occasion juveniles across the country were invited to run a lap of the track with Ciara at the National Championships. Poppy Shanahan and Aoibheann Doyle represented Moyne AC and got the chance to even chat to Ciara before the race commenced! An incredibly special moment for athletic fans far and wide.
