Join us as we celebrate an incredible summer for our Basketball Ireland Masters athletes at our Masters International Cap Ceremony.

This special afternoon is an opportunity to recognise and honour the dedication, commitment and outstanding achievements of our players who proudly represented Ireland at the FIBA Masters Championships in Greece.

Now that the dust has started to settle (although the excitement certainly hasn't!), everyone at Basketball Ireland Masters is incredibly proud of every player, coach, manager, physio, AT and volunteer who represented Ireland at the inaugural FIBA Masters Open in Greece.

This was our strongest campaign to date. The standard throughout the trials and team selection was exceptional, and every one of our eight teams wore the Irish jersey with pride, passion and professionalism.

A huge thank you also to everyone at Basketball Ireland and Basketball Ireland Masters whose work behind the scenes made this unforgettable tournament possible.

These results are something every player and supporter should be proud of. The future of Basketball Ireland Masters has never looked brighter, and this is only the beginning.

Great to see Carrie Moyles, a member of Ireland’s F40 FIBA Masters Open gold medal-winning team, at the funding launch of the 2026 Women in Sport Programme.

What an unforgettable finish to the inaugural FIBA Masters Open.

🥇 F40 Women – FIBA Masters Champions!
An incredible Gold Medal performance saw our F40s crowned champions after a fantastic victory over Italy. A truly historic achievement!

🥈 F45 Women – Silver Medallists

🥈 M45 Men – Silver Medallists

Three outstanding silver medal performances that showcased the talent, determination and resilience of Irish Masters basketball on the international stage.

A huge well done also to our M50 and M60 teams, who battled all the way to 4th place finishes. While the medals just slipped away today, your commitment, fight and pride in the Irish jersey never wavered.

To every player, coach, manager, physio, volunteer, official, supporter and family member, thank you! This tournament has been built on months of dedication, sacrifice and teamwork, and every single person played a part.

You have inspired us all and written a remarkable new chapter in Basketball Ireland Masters history.
