Our next 6-week SOCIA-Ball term begins next Friday, 17th July, and we’d love to see some new faces joining our ever-growing group.

Whether you’ve:
✨ Never picked up a basketball before,
✨ Not played since school,
✨ Taken a long break from the game,
✨ Or simply want a fun way to stay active and meet new people…

SOCIA-Ball is for you!

One of the best things about our group is the people. Many of our ladies came along on their own for their first session, but it didn’t take long before they felt part of the group. Everyone is welcomed with open arms, encouraged at their own pace, and supported every step of the way.

We have players of all abilities, from complete beginners to those rediscovering their love of basketball years later. If you’re carrying an injury or just want to ease yourself back into exercise, that’s absolutely fine too. There is no pressure, just a friendly, inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the game.

Our Ireland U20 Women got their FIBA U20 Women’s EuroBasket Division B campaign off to the perfect start yesterday with an impressive 93-81 victory over Azerbaijan! 🇮🇪🏀💚

Today they return to the court to take on Greece, with tip-off at 6:30pm.

A huge congratulations and best of luck to Ciara Zurawska, Tade Ademokun and Sorcha Kelly, who will be playing with the Ireland U16 team, alongside past Killester player Naiya Turner, who came through our development section before moving to the US.

A special mention also to Mia Pucek, who will be representing Ireland with the U15 Academy squad.

The girls will take on England and Slovakia this weekend in the National Basketball Arena, and the entire club couldn’t be prouder. Wishing you all the very best of luck in green. Go enjoy every minute! ☘️🏀👏

Killester Basketball Club is seeking applications for the position of Men’s Super League Head Coach.

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced coach to lead our Men’s Super League programme and help drive the continued success of one of Ireland’s most established basketball clubs.

Requirements:
▪️ Minimum Level 1 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent)
▪️ Senior coaching experience
▪️ Knowledge of Irish National Leagues preferred

We had an extremely busy day on Saturday as our U14 and U15 boys welcomed teams from Greystones, kubs, Belfast and St Kevin’s Knights to St David’s for a fantastic day of basketball. 🏀🧡🖤

The standard of basketball was excellent throughout, with our boys battling their way to the final against Belfast Cleveland. More importantly, it was a wonderful day of competition, creating lasting memories, new friendships and plenty of great basketball experiences.

A huge thank you to all the parents and coaches who contributed an incredible selection of food and treats, keeping everyone fed and watered throughout the day.

A special thank you to all the organisers, Fiona, Janice, Catherine, Aoife, Helen, Sorcha and Caoimhe, whose hard work helped make the day such a success and to Glen for all of his work behind the scenes in organising and coordinating the event.

Well done to all the players who took part, and thank you to all of our visiting teams for helping make it such a successful and enjoyable event.
