This page celebrates Sligo Pétanque, a thriving boules club, playing at Mitchel Curley park in Sligo. Pétanque is played in over 50 countries.

In Ireland there are clubs in Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Bangor, Waterford, Belturbet, Limerick, Sligo and coming soon in Mayo. Pétanque is a simple game to play - you just need a set of three boules - clubs will lend you a set while you try it out.

Today Aug.22nd at Michell Curley Park, Sligo Pétangue Club held an Open day. HUGE THANKS to PHILIP HARRISON and his team at Parks Department for the work carried out on the pistes. They looked amazing.
We had a wonderful day in the sunshine welcoming new people. We also welcomed Cathaoirleach Dara Mulvey, Shane Hayes SSRP , Carl Brennan photographer and Bridie Nicholson who was a world double transplant winner at pétangue. A great day had by all.

Super Day in Mitchell Curley Park where Sligo Pétangue Club welcomed Longford for a Midlands League match. Sligo won with 21pts to Longford's 17pts.

Saturday May 23rd, Sligo Pètanfue Club welcomed members from the pétangue club in Castlebar .
We were also joined by Mel 90yrs young and her daughter Lynne from Newcastle Pétangue Club north of Sydney in Australia.
