A brilliant start to the campaign for our Skerries girls Zara McCarthy and Emily Ericson, who both put in really strong performances for Leinster North East against Midlands in Carlow last night! πͺ
North East led 19β12 at half-time, before a strong Midlands comeback saw them take control in the second half. But the girls kept battling right to the final whistle, finishing on a high with two tries in the final five minutes from Zara and Emilyβs ABS teammates Olivia and Molly, to bring the final score to 40β31.
Well done Zara and Emily, a great first outing in the Sarah Robinson Cup and doing your club proud!
Best of luck to the girls and the North East squad for the rest of the campaign!
