🏐 CAMOGIE CHAMPIONSHIP ROLLS ON

A busy two nights of club camogie ahead across Offaly, with eight championship games across Wednesday and Thursday.

Wednesday sees Round 2 of the Intermediate Championship take centre stage, with games in Kilcormac, Kinnitty, Ballinamere and Killurin.

Then on Thursday night it’s over to the Senior Championship, with all four Round 3 games throwing in at 7pm.

The group stages are beginning to take shape and every result carries a little more weight from here. 👀

The summer might be winding down, but the Offaly Football Championships certainly aren’t.

Schools are back, Electric Picnic takes over the country this weekend, and across the next few days the club championships move towards the business end.

The Senior A, Senior B and Intermediate championships reach their final group rounds, with places in the knockouts and championship futures still to be decided.

Junior A is already into knockout territory, while there’s plenty more Junior B and C action to come too.

From Wednesday night right through to Sunday evening, there’s championship football across the Faithful County.

🎯 DOOLEY STILL THE MAN TO CATCH

Four rounds down and the race for the Senior A scoring crown has a familiar name out in front.

Tullamore’s Shane Dooley has opened up a nine-point advantage at the top, with Eoin Woods leading the chasing pack heading into the final round of group games.

There’s movement further down too. Paul Kinsella and David Nally break into the leading pack for the first time this championship, with both now sitting on 26 points.

Brian Duignan remains the leading goalscorer with four, while Ailbe Watkins continues his strong championship for Birr.

One group round left before knockout hurling takes over. Will anyone close the gap at the top? 👀

🔥 CHAMPIONSHIP HURLING | WEEK FOUR RESULTS

Another busy weekend of club championship action across Offaly, with the picture beginning to take shape across the grades.

Senior A and Senior B completed Round 4, while the Intermediate championship reached the end of its group stage. There was also plenty of Junior action across the weekend, with one Junior A fixture still to come tomorrow evening.

Round Four of the Senior A Hurling Championship is complete.

Birr picked up the win over Kinnitty, Kilcormac/Killoughey got the better of St Rynagh’s in a top of the table clash, while Tullamore and Shinrone took the points in Group Two. Belmont losing for the first time.

One round of group games remains before the championship moves on to the knockout stages. A lot yet to be decided.🏆

Three games and three more results in the Senior B Championship.

Seir Kieran overcame Kilcormac/Killoughey, Clara continued their good form defeating Carrig and Riverstown, while Clodiagh Gaels recorded the win over Drumcullen.

The Senior B picture continues to take shape with the final stages of the championship getting closer. 👀

The Intermediate group stage is complete!

Shinrone, Birr, Coolderry and Brosna Gaels all finished their group campaigns with wins as attention now turns to the knockout stages and the battle for survival.

More Junior A Championship action across Round Three and Round Four.

St Rynagh’s, Edenderry and Shamrocks all recorded wins, with Belmont and Clodagh Gaels drawing.

Shinrone and Coolderry were the winners in Group One, with Kinnitty and Lusmagh drawing and then Gracefield continued their winning run, taking the points in against Birr.

After tonight’s wins for Shinrone, Birr and Brosna Gaels, the group stages are complete and we now know the road to the Intermediate Hurling Final.

Shinrone and Coolderry skip the Quarter-Finals after topping their respective groups and move straight into the Semi-Finals.

Tonight’s final round of the Intermediate Hurling Championship is effectively the first night of knockout hurling.

All three games throw in at 7pm, with tonight’s results deciding who goes straight to the Semi-Finals, who moves into the Quarter-Finals and who ends up in the Relegation Final.

For several teams, it really is a play-off for where their championship goes next.

Coolderry already know they will be in the Semi-Finals, but who will join them?

And then, we have 4 teams battling it out for a Quarter-Final, hoping to avoid a Relegation Final.

🟢 OFFALY CAMOGIE CHAMPIONSHIP | WEEK TWO

Another weekend of club camogie action is complete, with Round 2 of the Senior Championship and the opening round of the Intermediate Championship in the books.

There were some big scores, tight contests and an important piece of history at Intermediate level as the 2026 championships begin to take shape.

Drumcullen continued their excellent start with a big 7-12 to 1-04 victory over Naomh Bríd, leaving them with two wins from two and a huge +37 points difference.

Birr also made it two wins from two, but they were pushed all the way by St Rynagh’s before coming through by 1-16 to 1-13.

St Cillian’s picked up their first win of the campaign in another close encounter, edging Kilcormac/Killoughey 1-10 to 0-11, while Shinrone recorded an impressive 3-17 to 0-06 victory over Tullamore.

A particularly significant weekend at Intermediate level with Ballinamere/Durrow playing their first ever championship game and what a way to begin.

They recorded a 5-17 to 0-03 victory over Shinrone to go straight to the top of the early standings on scoring difference.

It’s brilliant to see another team entering the championship and another sign of the continued growth of camogie across Offaly. Hopefully it is the first of many championship campaigns for Ballinamere/Durrow.

Elsewhere, St Sinchill’s opened with a 4-19 to 0-08 win over Kilcormac/Killoughey, Belmont defeated Lusmagh 4-05 to 0-06, while Tullamore came through against Kinnitty by 4-11 to 2-08.

After two rounds, Drumcullen and Birr lead the way on four points, with Shinrone just behind on three. St Rynagh’s and St Cillian’s sit on two points, while K/K have one.

The current standings also show the split between the Senior A and Senior B semi-final positions, so there is plenty still to play for as the championship develops.

After the opening round, Ballinamere/Durrow, St Sinchill’s, Belmont and Tullamore all sit on two points, with plenty of championship still ahead.

From tonight right through to Sunday evening, there’s championship hurling every single day in Offaly. Seven days, seven straight nights and afternoons of club action as championships across the county reach a crucial stage.

Senior A and B, Intermediate and the Junior grades all feature across a massive week, with postponed games being caught up, group tables taking shape and places in the knockout stages beginning to go on the line.

It all builds towards a huge weekend, finishing with a Senior A double-header in St Brendan’s Park, Birr on Sunday, as the race for the Sean Robbins Cup continues.

A crucial week of club hurling gets underway tonight, with championship action every single day from Monday right through to Sunday as we move towards the business end of the group stages. 🏆

It starts tonight with Junior C, while the Intermediate Championship reaches its final round, with qualification places and final group positions to be decided, while Senior B and Junior action continues across the week.

Then comes a huge weekend of Senior A Championship hurling, culminating in a massive Sunday double-header at St Brendan’s Park, Birr. 🔥

🏆 Seven consecutive days of championship hurling. The final round of Intermediate. Round Four in Senior A and Senior B. And increasingly little room for error as we head towards the knockout stages.
