At Portarlington Credit Union, we're proud to support initiatives that make a real difference in our community. This new tent will provide a dedicated base for athletes, volunteers and supporters during Community Games events for many years to come.

We know how much hard work goes into organising these events, and we're delighted to play a small part in helping create lasting memories for the young people of our community.

A huge well done to all of our Portarlington swimmers who proudly represented Team Laois at the Community Games National Finals this weekend.

Every one of our swimmers performed brilliantly, and we are so proud of their hard work, dedication and sportsmanship.

A special congratulations to Tymon and Lena, who both qualified for their respective finals – a fantastic achievement!

Well done also to our U13 Girls Freestyle Relay Team of Éabha, Georgie, Roslyn and Willow, who finished an excellent 9th out of 16 teams in the country. What a performance!

A very well-deserved congratulations also goes to our neighbours in Community Games, who brought home two silver medals thanks to the fantastic performances of Síofra and Eva Jay, and to Community Games, where Yiming claimed a brilliant silver medal. An outstanding achievement for all three swimmers and a great reflection of the talent we have across County Laois.

A sincere thank you to the Laois Community Games Swim Committee for all of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to make opportunities like this possible. We also extend our thanks to Community Games and Ireland for organising such a well-run and enjoyable gala.

Congratulations again to every swimmer who represented Team Laois. You all did your clubs, communities and county proud!

What an exciting game in McCann Park this evening!

After a thrilling contest filled with great skill, determination and plenty of drama, Laois Community Games emerged victorious on a scoreline of 2-12 to 2-06 against Offaly CommunityGames

The large crowd was captivated throughout, with nerves on edge as both teams battled hard from start to finish. Credit to all the players for producing such an entertaining and sporting encounter.

A sincere thank you to Daingean community Games for making the journey and to all the coaches, parents, supporters and umpires who helped make the occasion such a success.

Special thanks also to Portarlington GAA Club for the use of their excellent facilities and pitch in McCann Park, again.

Congratulations to our girls on a fantastic performance and best of luck in the next round!
