A very exciting and most entertaining match for our youngest u12 girls today in Kildalton Park where a good crowd saw two teams serve up a great game.

We took the lead through a fine individual goal from Lorna Frisby, with ballyduff coming level nearly straight away.
Again we took the lead through some smart play from Ellie Grace who won the ball from a goal kick and tucked it nicely away.
Again Ballyduff came back to level it before the break.
Credit must go to our keeper Mia Meade who saved a penalty in the 1st half.

Second half was end to end but with 10 mins to go and tired legs Ballyduff broke through to get their 3rd and with minutes left they got their 4th.

Our back line of Mia on goal Emily Lawlor, Layla Carroll, Lily Kinsella, Chloe Fitzpatrick played super today.

Midfield of Grace Kenneally, Ellie Grace, Kate O Hehir, Robin Meade ran the midfield

With Lorna Frisby and Leah o Sullivan upfront keeping the Ballyduff defenders busy all game.

Before the game Joe Fortune from the Assembly crew presented our girls with the new jerseys.👏

Southend 2 Piltown 2 U12A schoolgirls

Our U12A girls were on the road on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning ☀️, and what a game they gave us in Southend

From the very first whistle, it was end-to-end action between two evenly matched teams.

Piltown struck first when Ellie-Mai Kiely stepped up and fired a powerful shot into the net to put us 1–0 ahead! 🚀⚽️

But Southend responded almost immediately, driving forward and finding the equaliser.

The girls didn’t let that knock them back they pushed on looking for a 2nd goal that came before half time when Laura Power showed great determination as she drove down the right before firing a shot into the bottom corner! ⚡️⚽️

Piltown 2–1 Southend!

The second half was an absolute battle. Both teams fought for every ball, and our girls showed fantastic heart and determination.

At the back, the girls were outstanding. Last-ditch tackles, brave defending and some fantastic defensive work kept Southend at bay as the pressure mounted.

Then came the cruelest moment right at the very end. Southend somehow managed to work their way through a number of Piltown defenders and found the bottom corner to make it 2–2.

A tough finish after such a huge effort, but there is SO much to be proud of. 👏👏

The girls battled from start to finish, worked for each other and never gave up. The teamwork, determination and fighting spirit were brilliant to see.

⚽ U13 Schoolgirls | Piltown 4–1 Carrick Utd

We welcomed Carrick Utd to Kildalton Park this morning for our season opener, and the 19 Piltown girls involved in the squad gave absolutely everything when called upon. 👏

We started the game on the front foot, playing a high line for Carrick’s goal kicks, and it paid off early on. Nadia stole the ball on the edge of the 18-yard box, beat a defender and fired a low shot into the corner to open the scoring.

Nadia went on to add two more before half-time, completing a brilliant first-half hat-trick. She was a constant handful for the Carrick defence, using her strength and pace to get away from defenders with her direct running.

Half-time: Piltown 3–0 Carrick Utd

The second half was a much more even contest, with both teams working hard and Carrick getting a goal late on.

Piltown’s fourth came after sustained pressure inside the Carrick box. Following a number of shots, blocks and deflections, it was Mila who reacted quickest to fire home the fourth with the last kick of the game.

A fantastic team performance to start the season, with every girl playing her part.

⭐ Special mentions

Caitlin Carroll was immense at centre-back, cutting out numerous Carrick attacks and showing great composure throughout.

At the other end of the pitch, Nadia Dembinska was clinical in front of goal, scoring a superb hat-trick and causing the Carrick defence problems all morning.

Well done to all 19 girls — a brilliant way to open the season! 👏

Villa 2 – 2 Piltown

Another great result for our U11s as they remain unbeaten this season! 👏.

A fantastic team performance from all the boys. Joey Lacey grabbed both goals, the first from a deflected corner and the second a superb free kick.

⭐ Killian Power earned Player of the Match with an outstanding all-round performance.

Well done boys, keep it going. A big thank you to Tara for providing the half time sweets ⚽️⚽️.

Piltown AFC U12s Match Report

Piltown 2 - 1 Portlaw

The Piltown AFC U12s put in a fantastic performance against Portlaw last night. The boys showed great determination, teamwork, and patience to break down a strong Portlaw defence, backed by an outstanding goalkeeper who pulled off a number of excellent saves.

A special mention goes to Billy Keniry, who stepped into goal for the first half and made some brilliant saves to keep the team in the game. Billy then moved outfield in the second half and showed great composure to score from the penalty spot after being fouled in the box.

The winning goal came from Oisin Tynan, who finished superbly following a great assist from Joey Lacey.

It was a tremendous team effort from start to finish, with every player contributing to a well-earned victory. Well done to all the squad!

A big thank you also to Kildalton Kitchen for providing delicious halftime buns for the team ❤️⚽
