The difference of a year.
I wasn't going to bother putting this up, because people don't generally care. They think it's ego.
This is not an ego post.
There's so much you can't see in this. The difference in the head, the energy, the sleep, the confidence etc. But the number 1 thing to take from it is that progress was slow. The full loss is 9.15kg or 1stone 6lbs. That's 2.9lb a month. Less than 1lb a week.
It took me until Sean was 15 months old to start. I didn't get my head together before that. Even when I was training for the mini marathon last year, I was running but I had no structure. No training programme and I wasn't eating well.
People always want to see big changes. Big losses. Big changes week in, week out&it's just not feasible. But on weeks when you see no loss or feel like your loss isn't big enough, the important thing is to power on.
If you can make your goal of training to FEEL better, then your training isn't tied to weight loss. The reality is, if you train consistently, you use common sense with food (I used calories& a protein target)
But also, last post I did, I was considerably more toned looking. And some days I look more like I "should" as a trainer, than others.
I still look at the most recent picture and think... Jeez I have a bit of work to do yet. When the reality is that I carried 3 babies in 2 years and I'm nailing being a mam to them all. We are so hard on ourselves, no matter what stage we are at. You can get your flat stomach back after a baby but who has that discipline and time. It has to be your first priority. I know NO mother who puts themselves first.
So if you are feeling a little s**t about yourself, If you feel like you don't know where to start. If you feel like you are lost. Meet your sister. I was there. I'm happy to help anyone get onto the right path but know this, if you have just had a baby, your body is a wild place. Train for your head only to start. Your body is busy keeping everyone alive&it's already under pressure without us adding "lose the baby weight" to it. Instead let's add "get strong"
Change your mentality.
If you build it, they will come š¤£
