After 14 weeks of competitive pool in a brand new league format, The Louth Bunch came out on top. The inaugural season featured 8 teams, with very little separating the top four teams, with McHugh's Bar, J-Mac's 2026 and the 8-Ball Bandits all running the champions incredibly close, making for a competitive finish to a fantastic first season.

👏 The overall feedback on the format of the league was positive and with some minor tweaks we have a great platform to build on for our next League.

The Louth Bunch will now take on the Ultimate Pool League champions from Cabin Sports Club, Cookstown, on 11th August at J-Mac's.

🏆 The winners will qualify for the Ultimate Pool UK League Finals this October, where they'll compete LIVE on TNT Sports for the chance to win the £10,000 top prize! 💷📺

The J-Macs lads will be attending the Irish Open in November.

Headlining the team is current Ultimate Pool professional and multiple Pro Series winner Stevie Dempsey, alongside former Ultimate Pool professional and former Irish Champion Karl O'Donoghue.

Willie Reilly and Gavin Geraghty were both members of Ireland's World Championship-winning team in 2006, bringing a wealth of experience to the lineup. Gavin also arrives in imperious form after compiling a superb 36 break in the Navan Snooker League and has admitted he's striking the ball as well as ever. Completing the team is fellow Meath man Conor O'Boyle.

With a blend of professional pedigree, championship-winning experience and outstanding current form, these lads will fully expect to be at the business end of the tournament.

🏆 Team Event Format

• 5-man teams
• 64 teams
• 16 groups of 4 (top 2 progress to the knockout stages)
• Each fixture consists of five singles matches, played using the Ultimate Pool League handicap format. The combined result of all five matches determines the overall team winner.
• International Rules
• 30-minute match clock
• 30-second shot clock in operation
• Matches played across 2 tables
• UPscore handicaps apply
🟢 Scoring System
✅ 5 points for winning the overall team match
✅ +1 point for every individual frame won

👉 Every frame counts and could prove crucial in deciding which teams qualify for the knockout stages.
