Talk about the luck of the draw or lack thereof. Carley's first contest was against a very strong Lituanaian who went on to dominate both her English and Swedish opponents as the competition progressed before meeting 3 time European Champion from Russia in the final and was very unlucky to lose by split decesion, the Russian lucky to survive the last round.
Both of these girls are 18 year olds which puts 16 year old Carleys performance in perspective.
Carley set aside her disapointment and made great use of the trip sparring against other internationals and dominating every round and will come on leaps and bounds from this experience.
