🥈 3 Finals, 3 Silvers.
Huge congratulations to Sieanna, who walked away with a Silver medal after losing out on the tightest of margins—the dreaded 3/2 split—to the Scottish champion. A 3/2 decision against a home boxer is always one that could have easily gone the other way!
Just like Sieanna, both Luke and Carley met home boxers in their finals. While all three can feel disappointed that their hands weren't raised, these were incredibly close bouts against top-class opponents, and we have the height of respect for them all.
The four Nations was a fantastic competition and a massive learning experience for our three finalists. They proved they are right up there with the best of them and will be all the better for the experience.
While we would have been happier bringing home the gold, 3 Silvers and invaluable international experience will be of great benefit to the entire club moving forward! 🥊💪

Sieanna has a bye to the final tommorow and will face yet another home boxer after her Scottish opponent easily overcame her English opponent in the semi.
Best of luck Sieanna

🥈 Silver for both Luke and Carley! 🥈
We are a bit disappointed as both Luke and Carley lost two very tight contests against quality opposition today. Facing home boxers, both can count themselves unlucky not to have had their hands raised.
🥊 Carley can be incredibly disappointed with a completely unjustified point deduction in round 2—the wrong boxer was penalized, and it completely turned the contest. After a slowish start, Carley got into a nice rhythm, looked to have won round 1, and was well on her way to winning round 2 before the warning. She then had to chase the contest against the home boxer. There were a few errors, but it was a great contest against a quality opponent who had previously beaten a top English boxer in the semis. When the dust settles, this is an experience she will learn a massive amount from. Number 2 in the U19 4 Nations, and still only 16 years old!
🥊 Luke also faced a Scottish opponent and can feel distinctly unlucky with his result. In what was a very tight, technical contest, Luke looked to have edged every round while controlling the center, but the judges saw it otherwise. Still, it was another superb performance and all part of the journey.
Two good wins and two very tight losses against home boxers. We couldn’t be prouder of both of them returning with two Silver medals! 🥈🥈
✈️ It’s over now to Sianna O'Herron who flies out today with her U15 and U17 teammates, as the U19s and Elites travel home. Best of luck, team! Let's go! 💪🥊

Proud moment for the club! 🥊🇮🇪
Huge congratulations to our three boxers who have been selected to represent Ireland at the 4 Nations Championships in Scotland this week.
Sieanna O Herron U15 54kg and sister Carley O Herron U19 54kg who both qualfied by winning their respective All Irelands. A special mention to Luke Hall, who was selected through the High Performance Pathway Programme and will be competing in the highly competitive Elite 65kg category.
As a club, its a a proud moment and a great honour to have 3 out of our 4 competitive boxers secure international selection, It’s a reflection of the hard work put in by the boxers and coaching team.

Safe travels lads—do yourselves, the club, and Ireland proud! 💪🇮🇪
