The Shufflers.

A proud coach and father, John Joe Nevin, with his son, now five-time Irish champion Martin.

The perfect day yesterday at the under 15 and u17 championship in Dublin.

First up was pat stokes in the 50 kg u17 final beating a very good kid from oakleaf boxing club on 3/2 split decision, pat controlled all 3 rounds and out on a great display of boxing hard luck to his opponent.

Next was martin nevin in the 52kg u17 final beaten a very good and tough fighter from golden cobra, martin to would go on and display a skill full performance winning by a unanimous decision

Martin and pat now will be in line to represent there country in the European championship in Montenegro 🇲🇪 in October,

Mullingarshufflerbc entered 4 boxers at the start of the championship and coming away with 2 winners again shows this small club starting are heading in the right direction,

Well done to all the boys and girls that boxed in the championship keep taken part in this great sport that will give back so much to u if u put in the work,

Mixed results for Mullingar shuffler boxing club today at the under15 and under17 championship semi finals in Dublin,

First up was christy nevin in the under15 losing out to a very good 3 times irish champion from jobstown Dublin, christy put on a great performance stepping up 2 weight categories above his own just to try to book his place in the Europeans, gallant effort christy u will come again kid, good luck to his opponent in the final.

Next up was pat stokes in the under17 he boxed a game opponent from swords in Dublin pat showing his skills to come out a 4/1 winner and moves to the final tomorrow, hard luck to his opponent.

Finally we had martin nevin up against a very tough kid from Middleton cork martin putting in a powerful performance coming out a 5/0 winner and now moves to the the final tomorrow, hard luck to his opponent
