⚽️ U14 Boys v Shamrock Rovers

The U14 Boys got their season off to a fantastic start today with a victory over Shamrock Rovers.

The All Blacks started strongly, putting the home side under pressure from the opening whistle. In the tenth minute a well-worked throw-in was played wide to Ollie Fortune, who connected cleanly with the ball to give the Blacks an early 0-1 lead.

Both sides then enjoyed some good passages of play before Odin Walsh struck from outside the box to double the lead and make it 0-2. Just before half-time, Chris Kelly was fouled inside the Rovers box and confidently converted the resulting penalty to send the All Blacks into the break 0-3 ahead.

Shamrock Rovers came out strongly in the second half and immediately put the All Blacks under pressure. A failed clearance allowed Rovers to capitalise and pull a goal back, making it 1-3.

The homeside then enjoyed a spell of dominance, with a shot pushed wide for a corner and another effort narrowly missing. Rovers were then awarded a penalty following a push in the box, but the crossbar came to the All Blacks' rescue.

The All Blacks responded immediately with a quick counter-attack, with Chris Kelly seeing his effort come back off the post. Darragh Whelan then restored the three-goal advantage with the All Blacks' fourth before Chris Kelly added his second of the afternoon to make it 1-5.

In the closing minutes, Jake Fortune Hunt showed great composure as he worked his way into the Rovers box before unselfishly laying the ball off to Danny Halpin, who calmly slotted home.

A brilliant opening-day performance from the U14 Boys, who showed plenty of attacking quality, determination and teamwork to secure an impressive start to the season.

🃏 Find the Joker Draw Update!

Congratulations to Lorraine Corish whose envelope was pulled from the draw drum. Her selected number 16 was opened and didn't contain the Joker. Lorraine receives the weekly prize of €50 and the jackpot rolls over to the next draw when it will stand at €3,900.

⚽️ U15 Boys

The U15 Boys welcomed New Ross Town B to a blustery Casey Park Saturday afternoon.

Despite the Blacks starting strongly, it was the visitors who struck first, converting a free kick on the eight minute. The homeside regrouped and equalised two minutes later through a cracking strike by Rory Doyle. The All Blacks were to take a 2-1 lead in the sixteenth minute when Cory Fortune's effort found the back of the New Ross net. The visitors were awarded an indirect free kick for an alledged back pass. Their set piece effort brought the game to 2-2. The Blacks continued to create opportunities and were denied by the New Ross Keeper until just before half time, when a beautiful through ball found Darragh Houlihan who headed for goal, his initial strike palmed away but he made no mistake converting the rebound.

Half time score 3-2

The All Blacks had a dream start to the second half when an attack from the tip off found the ever threatening Cian Millar who neatly slotted the ball home. Odin Walsh thought he had nabbed the fifth goal, when he connected with a Dan Carthy free kick at the back post, but his effort was ruled offside. Debutant Chris Kelly was to score the All Blacks fifth and sixth goals with two fantastic efforts, displaying his amazing footwork to beat the visitors defence. With minutes remaining in the game a long ball found a spiriting Darragh Whelan who controlled the ball first time and laid it past the keeper.

Final score 7-2

A great start to the season, with each panel member contributing to the win.

Another fantastic display from our men's A team this morning to make it 6 points from 6 to start the season on a good note after a 2-1 home win over Bunclody. Our goals came from the excellent Pa Martin ⚽️ & Evan Farrell O'Connor ⚽️ on his debut for us. Onto the next one. 🖤❤️

⚽️ U11 Boys

Both of our U11 teams were out today for their first games of the season.

Our B team was away to Duncannon. It was a tough game for them as Duncannon were very strong but we came back stronger in the second half and never gave up.

Our A team was home againt Rosslare Rangers. They had a great game with everyone having a hand in our win today. Patrick got 4 goals, Ryan, Shay and Liam W each getting one, ending the game 7-3.

Well done to both teams and thanks to the parents for all the support on the sideline.
