The Gallagher family has been involved in manufacturing Glass Reinforced Plastic (fibreglass) mouldings in Mallow since 1978. Since its formation as Glassfibre Products, Michael Gallagher designed and manufactured high quality canoes and sports equipment, later branching out into composite parts for automotive, marine and environmental applications. Michael's son Stephen now runs the business from a purpose-build facility in Quartertown Industrial Estate in Mallow.
