πππDromard Camino Walk to Raise Funds for Lourdes Assisted Pilgrimage Fund on Saturday April 11thπππ
For this year's Dromard Camino Walk, which is been driven by Fr. P.J Hughes and supported by the local GAA club and the parish council in the North Longford parish of Dromard, the main focus will be to raise funds for the Lourdes Assisted Pilgrimage Fund.
The fund goes to bring sick pilgrims to Lourdes each year. This year the diocese is bringing 37 ill pilgrims on the pilgrimage. In recent years it has become a major challenge to raise enough funds to bring ill pilgrims and also to help with the costs of support staff.
It is really hoped that people will turn out in large numbers to support this extremely worthy cause, and at the same time enjoy a healthy walk and also enjoy the picturesque countryside of North Longford.
Walkers can choose to walk either 20km or 10km. Ideally people will book a place by visiting the website https://dromardcaminowalk.ie in advance, so that we can plan for facilities, medals, refreshments, etc, but if you are unable to do that, you can book your place on the morning of the walk. It's β¬50 euro to join the Camino, with this money going to an extremely worthy and needy cause. The walk begins at Dromard GAA club house at 8am.
If you enjoy walking, why not come and support this very worthy cause.
We would also appreciate if you could LIKE and SHARE.
Thank you very much!
