As the season approaches, we'd like to wish all clubs, owners, trainers and supporters the very best of luck in their pursuits. Kilfynn have the honour of launching the season and launching her career as an official will be Ava Lyons. Ava sets out on the 'Judge trail' this season and we wish her the very best of luck. A skilled lady with horses and a proud lineage of coursing in her veins, as a Club we are very proud of her. Enjoy Ava!

With great sadness we learned of the passing of a great friend of the doggie industry namely Kathleen Murphy of Greyhound & Petworld. Kathleen was loved by all who came across her. She possessed a fantastic personality and a genuineness second to none. Always welcoming with a smile and so helpful to everyone. Kathleen, Dominic and Liam established a valuable dynasty in Abbeyfeale and at many tracks but their contribution to the Greyhound industry and presence at the National Coursing Meeting was most welcome and always appreciated. To Dominic, daughter Aoife, son Liam, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, we extend our sincerest condolences. Rest in Peace Kathleen and thank you for your friendship.

Congratulations to Finuge GAA on a much deserved win in today's County Junior Championship final. With several players either existing or past members of Lixnaw Coursing Club, it's a proud day. Enjoy the celebrations not that you need reminding.

95 years going about his business in a kind, dignified, grateful and courteous manner. Johnny Quigley was the quintessential doggie man. From his days delivering news papers around Kerry, Johnny made great friends for life. A great supporter of our meeting where he frequently ran dogs and whether he was beaten in the 1st rd or went further he was always appreciative to get a run. He ran up the DTS in 1979 with Woodview Prince, beaten by Davy Can Run in Lixnaw. He will be sorely missed especially by him family, sons Brendan, John, Patrick and, his adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Angela, Trish, Michelle, Patricia and Pat but also the doggie fraternity. The Kingdom of Heaven is receiving a great man. Rest in Peace Johnny. Condolences to all Johnny's family.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Ned Browne, Coolagown, Listowel on his passing. Ned was known far and wide within the doggie fraternity. An absolute gentleman, humorous and generous with his time. The coursing fields will be a lonely place with out him. Rest in Peace Ned.
