The Listowel Kayak Club was founded in 2020 by a group of locals who were enthusiastic about paddling the River Feale and the stunning North Kerry coastline.
Fast forward to 2022, and following lots of work by the committee, the club finally opened its doors to members in September. As we are still in our infancy, we continue to work together to build a bigger and better club for its members from Listowel and the surrounding communities.

Great trip planning (and drone shots) by Maurice around Fenit with lunch at Derrymore Beach, and a massive thanks also to Shane for sorting out the logistics of transporting the kayaks.

Great to see the new beginners group start their training last Thursday! What an evening for it!
Not only does she bake amazing treats and check, nay, triple check everyone has all the gear they need for the trip, this invaluable member also contributes to the club by disinfecting boats to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species after a trip out 💦 🙌🏼

Such a fantastic buzz on the river last night with a great mix of beginners learning from the class Enda Prendergast , and club members practicing their skills!
