Dance Limerick is looking forward to a rich performance programme this autumn.
September and October come charged with an array of shows for all tastes and ages. The season kicks off with Compass Associate Artist 2026 , who will perform her newest and first ensemble piece 'Racket' - we have an evening show and matinee, don't miss it!
Parents and little ones can look forward to Baby Rave - the name says it all!-, proudly presented in partnership with childrenโs festival.
Later in October, Kenyan American French dance artist Wanjiru Kamuyu asks the important questions about belonging and otherness in โAn Immigrantโs Storyโ and and an intergenerational cast from across Limerick will have us foot-tapping and hip-twisting to tune of much-loved country music in 'Country OK'.
Alongside our performance programme, Dance Limerickโs autumn/winter season supports professional artists through residencies at home and abroad, professional development and dedicated space to research, develop and create new work, while continuing our community engagement, weekly dance classes and opportunities to participate in and experience dance.

The Dance Limerick team keeps growing!
This week, we are delighted to welcome two new part-time team members, Favour Odusola and Megan Roberts. Favour & Megan will lead the Square Roots project over the next 18 months, as lead artist and project producer respectively.
Favour is joining the project with a real interest in โconnecting with the community to see what beauty and inspiration we can draw from the cityโs culture to create something culturally lasting for Limerick โ He is excited to see what the journey holds.
Meganโs own experience โof finding creativity and community through movement is part of why [she] connected so strongly with Square Roots. At its heart, the programme is about getting to know the people around Johnโs Square and using dance to build a stronger sense of belonging. Iโm looking forward to listening, building relationships and helping the project grow in response to the people who take part.โ
Stay tuned for more on Square Roots and learn more about our new team members at dancelimerick.ie (link in bio)

Itโs time for a little throwback to April, when we held an intensive workshop with dance artist Adam Benjamin
A group of 25 artists and dance students with and without disabilities joined Adam for a 5-day intensive where they had the chance to dive deep into the practice of improvisation. Artists worked in a group setting, as a duo or trio, and solo; engaging in rich research and making new connections with peers in Ireland and internationally.
These lovely photos by Maurice Gunning open a window into these moments of exploration, discussion, reflection and collaboration.
We are deeply grateful to Adam, all participants, collaborators and partners for making this week possible.
The intensive training week with Adam Benjamin was a partnership between Dance Limerick and Inclusive Dance Cork โ A project of Dance Cork Firkin Crane. Dance Limerick Inclusive Dance Artists Training Programme is a DL Bridge Project, funded by Limerick Arts Office, Limerick City and County Council. Dance Limerick is funded by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaรญon and Limerick City and County Council.
