Our next teacher is Jean🩷

Jean started her dance journey at a young age in the Gallagher school of ballet in Limerick and continued on in the Dance Academy before studying dance in Inchicore College for her transition year.
After school she attended CSN before completing a four year BA in voice and dance.
She has completed her associate and Licentiate ballet teaching exams.
Jean has been teaching ballet, jazz and lyrical for over 10 years. She has also choreographed several school musicals, including Grease, We will Rock you and Footloose.
Fully Qualified, Garda Vetted & Insured.
Jean brings so much creativity, fun and warmth to our dance school.

Meet Ashling.
Ashling has been part of the Dance Academy since she was four, taking classes as a child and teenager and then taking internationally recognised teaching qualifications with us. Also, as a primary school teacher Ashling brings a broad ranging skill set to our team.

We are so proud to congratulate our past student, Sean Hanley, who will be graduating from Central Ballet School in London this week, after three years of full time training which included classical ballet, repertoire, pas de deux and contemporary. Sean will be heading to Barcelona in September as a trainee the Ballet de Catalunya. CONGRATULATIONS Sean, and all the very best for the next part of your journey. 💪💫

“I feel extremely privileged to be graduating from Central with a BA (Hons) degree in professional dance and performance. Over the past three years I have learned and grown so much from incredible teachers and by being part of such a talented cohort. The support I have received from my parents, friends and my first ever ballet teachers from the Dance Academy has been invaluable. They saw the potential in me and gave me the confidence to open so many doors throughout my journey.”

We were so proud to get to watch three of our own past pupils perform in their end of year showcase with MOREA PERFORMING ARTS in Cheltenham, UK earlier this month. Emma and Mossie will be returning to third year and Aisling to her second year of full time training with Morea this coming September. The showcase was amazing, demonstrating the dedicated and diverse industry led training that our students are now receiving. So many strong, talented dancers and beautiful choreography. Congratulations on an amazing show and your exam successes in the past year. 💪 We are extremely proud of you all. 💫

After 15 amazing years at The Dance Academy, it’s time for my next chapter!

I started dancing here at just 4 years old, beginning with ballet before adding jazz, lyrical and tap. Looking back, I never imagined where this journey would take me.

While competing at the National Dance Championships, I was awarded a scholarship to the Morea Summer School in Scotland. During the summer school, I was invited to join the Morea Associates Programme, where I’ve spent the last two years travelling to Dublin each month for additional professional dance training.

Over the last 15 years, The Dance Academy has given me so many incredible opportunities. I’ve had the chance to perform in circus productions, charity events with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, many shows at the University Concert Hall, travel to London, and take part in so many unforgettable performances.

This September, I’m so excited to begin the next stage of my journey at Morea Performing Arts College in Cheltenham, where I’ll be studying for a three year full time Professional Dance and Dance Teaching degree.

Thank you to all my teachers at The Dance Academy for believing in me, encouraging me, and helping me become the dancer I am today. I’ll always be grateful for everything I’ve learned, the friendships I’ve made, and the memories I’ll cherish forever❤️✨
