We had great representation at the ISESA conference over the last two days.
๐Ÿ‰ Eoin Healy presented his poster on the impact of reward systems on extrinsic motivation and team cohesion in rugby.
๐Ÿƒ Matthew Oโ€™Sullivanโ€™s poster detailed his investigation of the impact of a 4-week MAS HIIT intervention on estimated VOโ‚‚ max in U20 LOI soccer players.
๐Ÿ’จ JJ Oโ€™Brien investigated pacing profiles of elite hurling substitutes: effects of entry time and match status on running performance.
๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ Roshen Sivabalanโ€™s project looked at the acute effects of isometric resistance training on jump performance among youth basketball players.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Mairead Foy delivered an oral presentation on traumatic stress symptoms in Ukrainian high-performance athletes.
๐Ÿ‘ Kelvin Harold gave an oral presentation on talent identification in GAA hurling academies: selection practices and the role of biological maturation.

๐Ÿ‰Huge thanks to our guest speakers who joined our Year 1 Sport Development and Performance and P.E with Business students for a focus on wellbeing in sport ๐Ÿ’ฌโšฝ

We were delighted to welcome Amy Coll, Regional Community & Health Coordinator with the GAA, to speak about the GAA Healthy Club Project and how clubs can support their communities on and off the pitch.

We also welcomed Marcus Horan, Munster Rugby Player Development Manager, and Munster flanker Jack Oโ€™Donoghue, who shared insights from their Tackle Your Feelings programme.
