Well Done to Gary Murphy who played a starring role at Number 10 for Limerick U16 footballers on Saturday at Nick Neville Park Rathkeale. The final score here was a narrow loss to Cork on a scoreline of 0-12 to 0-10

The Limerick U16 Football Academy team that narrowly lost to Cork this morning by 0-12 to 0-10 in the Munster Academy U16 Football Final played in Mick Neville Park, Well done to all involved with the Limerick academy team.

Castletown Ballyagran GAA Grounds Work.
We are happy to inform you that works are still continuing on our walkway surface and lighting works and now nearing completion. Plus, also now in process of installing new ball stop nets behind both goals in main field. Unfortunately, during these works, access to some areas around the pitch may still be restricted at different times over the next few weeks approx. and it will not be possible to complete a lap of the field. We ask that you respect all signage and do not interfere with any temporary fencing put in place for the duration of the works.

Scrap Metal Collection on Sat. 19th Sept. ‘26.
Our CTB GAA Juvenile Club plus the Ladies Footballers are now organising a scrap metal collection on Saturday 19th Sept. ’26. So suggest can you start to gather all your metal scrap and then bring to the CTB GAA Clubhouse on the day between 10am and 3pm, as there will be a big skip to load your scrap into. This is a great way to clear up any metal you may have lying around in your house, garden and so on, and tidy up before the winter sets in, and also great way to provide much needed funding to the Juvenile and Ladies Football Clubs. Juvenile GAA Weekly Lotto Draw.
Our CTB Juvenile Weekly Lotto Draw with lotto prize money of €12,100 took place in our clubhouse last Thursday Evening, 20th Aug. ‘26. Numbers Drawn were: 1, 9, 10, and 12, and we had no jackpot winner, so weekly lucky dip winners were: €50 - Fergal Fitzgerald, Ballyagran €20 - Mary Walsh, Newlawn, €20 - Pat Griffin, Ballyagran, and €20 - Collette Kelleher, Ballyagran. Next Lotto Draw is for a lovely €12,200, and this will take place in our clubhouse this Thursday Evening, 27th August 2026.

County u14 Hurling championship Div.3
Once again big thank you to Kevin Delee for providing this match report as Killacolla Gaels came out with a well-deserved win in the top of the table clash against a very strong Monagea team in Bruree tonight. We lead from the start and with the aid of a strong wind in the first half we lead by 4 points at the break - 1.9 (12) to 2.02 (8). We had a great start to the second half when we goaled inside the first 2 minutes and from there Killacolla Gaels powered on with some heroic defending and some classy scores to finish in style. Great overall display from all players involved. Final score was Killacolla Gaels 4.16 (28) Monagea 4.08 (20). Scorers: Donnacha O'Dwyer 1.10, Caden O'Shea 1.1, Tiernan McCarthy 1.1, Ryan Delee 1.0, Aidan O'Kelly 0.2, Ryan Farrell 0.2. Thanks and well done to all the U14 Management Team plus all players who togged out. Also thank you as always to all those who travelled to support this team.

Junior Camogie team second round Championship.
The Ballyagran Junior A Camogie team had a lively encounter against Newcastlewest, last Saturday Evening 22nd August ’26, in Newcastlewest, with honours even at the end of this exciting game Newcastlewest 1.13 (16) Ballyagran 3.07 (16). Thanks as always to Management team, all players involved plus all who travelled to support the girls.

Our gallant footballers played Mount Collins on a lovely Sunday Evening 23rd Aug. ’26 in Newcastlewest, in a very spirited honest performance, and were neck and neck coming into the final stretch where Mountcollins just pulled away with final score Mount Collins .17 (17) CTB 2.05 (11). Continuing good teamwork and team spirit and hopefully this will continue into our last group game against St. Pats on 13th Sept. ’26. Well done Trevor Hughes and all his Management team plus especially all players who togged out and gave it their all. Equally, thanks to all those who travelled and a fine crowd watched this entertaining game on a fine field in a fine venue.
