Balance….yuck
Christ, I hate that word.
People hear “balance” and think every day has to be perfectly healthy, perfectly productive, and perfectly… balanced.
Bo****ks.
This past week I ate cake for lunch.
I had pints.
I stayed up too late.
I finished a night with burgers.
I also lifted weights.
Went for long walks.
Ate regular meals.
Loaded dinners with veg.
Added fruit alongside the sweet stuff.
And despite what Instagram would have you believe…
I’ve lost body fat.
Because your body doesn’t keep score meal by meal.
It responds to what you do consistently.
The problem isn’t the burger.
It isn’t the pint.
It isn’t the slice of cake.
It’s convincing yourself you’ve “ruined it,” then turning one indulgent meal into three days of saying, “F**k it, I’ll start Monday.”
Eat the food.
Move your body.
Sleep when you can.
Repeat more often than you don’t.
Turns out that’s a lot more effective than treating every meal like it’s your last chance to be healthy.

“I’m not fu***ng leaving.”
The gym isn’t going anywhere.
But there aren’t enough hours in the day, and something has to give.
So for the foreseeable future, I’m closing my 1-1 in-person coaching slots.
Going forward, coaching availability will be through group coaching and online coaching only.
Same feral energy.
There’s only 24 hours in a day, and I’ve finally stopped acting like I’m exempt from that.
