Great to get so many of our crew out with St Patrick's Athletic FC at the weekend. Brilliant representation against the London Barbarians and Bray Wanderers F.C.

Congratulations to our over 65s playing today for St Patrick's Athletic FC. Two wins and a draw to stay top of the Irish Walking Football league. Brilliant performances by all the crew. Joe Curley with 3 clean sheets. Goals from Matt Cullen, Terry Butler and Philip Grehan. Defensively very well organised. Some excellent build up play and clinical finishing. Appreciation to St Joseph’s who were wonderful hosts! Thanks to everyone who contributed to the day and to our supporters who travelled to encourage the players. 🚶🏼‍♂️‍➡️😎👍⚽️

Leinster absolutely knocked it out of the ball park again on Sunday at the Limerick festival of walking football 2026. This is Ireland’s largest walking football event. Organised by the Republic Of Ireland Walking Football Association as a Provincial and invitational Walking Football festival for men & women it took place on the 4th & 5th July 2026 at the University of Limerick. A total of 37 teams participated in 6 competitions catering for men’s and women’s teams. Incredible performances by all our squads. We finished the weekend as winners in the Men’s 60s and Ladies events. Beaten only on penalties in the finals of 70s and the 65s. Our 50s secured runners up with tremendous performances including holding the eventual winners to a scoreless draw. Leinster second Ladies side concluded their weekend with a very credible third spot in the women’s competition. Well done to all our 48 mens and 17 ladies players. Special kudos to those who stepped up to manage each squad. Hopefully no serious injuries albeit a lot of sore bodies. Thanks to everyone who supported us along the way. Many great moments of play, sportsmanship, fun and friendship. ⚽️😎🏆🚶🏽‍♂️‍➡️👏

What a wonderful day. Leinster 8 games played. No goal conceded from play. Both teams reaching a final. Our 60s emerged as winners with our 70s eventually losing on sudden death penalties. You can all be very proud of your achievements. Another busy day tomorrow. Looking forward to our 65s , 50s and Ladies entering the competitions. 👍😎⚽️🚶🏾👏🥂🏆

Wonderful representation by all our players today. First class performances and plenty of laughs. Cracking goals and saves. Some excellent ball retention and build up play. Lots of St Patrick's Athletic FC debutants. I hope a great experience for all. Particular thanks to our squad managers Des Walsh & Terry Butler. Great to see the club supply 5 out of the 6 officials. Many thanks to Simon Walsh, Derek O'Neill and all the crew from the FAI League of Ireland Department. A few picks from the day. 👏⚽️🚶🏽‍♂️‍➡️😉
