Murphy-Mahon Cup Day

It’s our traditional Murphy Mahon Cup Day today! 🏆

A special day when our club comes together to compete for the Murphy Mahon Cup, have fun, and celebrate the legacy of two very special women who played such an important role in our club’s history — one of our founders, Una Murphy, and her daughter, Elaine Murphy Mahon, who helped grow the club throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Today, we celebrate their vision, dedication and legacy, as well as the generations of players who have followed in their footsteps and helped make our club what it is today.

Here’s to a fantastic club day, plenty of fun and competition, and another memorable Murphy Mahon Cup Day! 🏆

So happy to be part of this again this year! We’ll be there on the day with a selection of used hockey gear, as well as new HACA sticks for just €25. These are ideal for primary-school-aged players and are a great option for practicing at home.

Come along, say hello and pick up a bargain! 🏑

🏑 Thank you to our fantastic TY students 🏑

We’re delighted to have a great crew taking part in the Kinvara Hockey TY Training Programme this year.

The girls have been busy undertaking coaching training and learning how to support the next generation of young hockey players. They’ll be putting their training into practice by assisting with coaching our younger age groups, as well as taking on umpiring duties throughout the year. 🏑👏

Their willingness to give back to the club is fantastic to see, and we’re grateful for the time and energy they’re giving to Kinvara Hockey.
