A huge thank you from everyone in Firies GAA Club to all of our wonderful sponsors and supporters who helped make our recent Golf Classic such a success. We are incredibly grateful to our main sponsors, T-box sponsors, and all the teams who came along, took part and supported the event. A big thank you must also go to Maine Valley Members Golf Club for all their help and expertise prior to the event and on the day.
We were delighted to have recently presented a cheque for €3,000 to the Kerry Hospice Foundation at a presentation in Butler’s Bar, Firies. This contribution came from the funds raised through the Golf Classic and is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when our local community comes together.
Thank you all for your support, friendship and generosity. We look forward to getting everyone back together on the course for the Donie McCarthy Memorial Golf Classic 2027. 🏌️‍♂️💚🏆

A huge congratulations to our U16 ladies, who were crowned Division 6 County League champions this evening after a thrilling contest against Milltown/Castlemaine in Beaufort.

The girls put up a tremendous fight, showing great determination and battling right to the very end.

This is a fantastic achievement for this team, who earlier in the year also claimed the East Kerry title.

Congratulations to all the ladies on two fantastic achievements — you should be very proud !!

Firies U8 Boys made the trip into Dr Crokes Park yesterday evening to play the home side in a serious of Go Games. Fantastic team work shown by all the boys and great to see their development over last number of months.

Good luck to the U16 ladies team and management who face Milltown/Castlemaine in the County League Final Wednesday 2nd September in Beaufort at 6.30 💪

A massive congratulations to our senior team and management who had a narrow win over Castleisland Desmonds to regain their intermediate status for the 2027 season.

Thanks to the management team of Jerry,Stephen,Con,Cathal,Jordan,Ger and Aidan for all of their hard work and dedication to the team throughout the year.

Hard luck to Desmonds who led for alot of the contest and will face the losers of Glenbeigh-Glencar and St Mary's in the relegation final.

Best of luck to our senior mens team and management who face Castleisland Desmonds in the Intermediate Championship Relegation Semi Final tommorrow.

Make sure to get down to Currow to support the lads in their quest to retain intermediate status for the 2027 season.

Hard luck to our senior team who were defeated by Ballydonoghue yesterday in the last round of the Intermediate Championship.

The attention now turns to Saturday where we will face Castleisland Desmonds in the relegation semi final.

Throw in at Currow is at 3PM, please come out and support the lads as they search to claim Intermediate status for next year, your support is very much appreciated.
