Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for Luke McKenna in yesterday’s 4 nations final where he faced off against England losing out on a close decision in a technical bout. A phenomenal achievement to box at this level, Luke will take massive learnings from the experience as a whole and can be immensely proud of his performances representing his country with distinction. 🥊🥊🔥🔥

Congratulations to Luke McKenna on his International debut for Ireland this morning defeating Wales in the semi final of the U15 4 nation championships to progress to tomorrow’s final where he’ll face England. Luke boxed nice and composed picking good scoring shots and moved his feet well throughout the 3 rounds to earn a 4-1 win.

The Club would like to wish Luke McKenna the very best of luck as he flies out with the Irish U15 team tomorrow to box in this weekends 4 nations competition taking place in Ravenscraig, Scotland. To add to the achievement of representing Ireland, Luke has been named Team Captain of a very talented squad, a proud moment for Luke, his family and everyone in the club. Busy weekend for the club with Tommy Fitzpatrick contesting his National U19 Championship semi final tonight in the National Stadium and Luke McKenna beginning his U15 high performance training tomorrow morning with Team Ireland ahead of the 4 nations in June. The best of luck to both lads. 🥊🥊🔥🔥

Congratulations to Luke McKenna who won his 4 Nations Box Off this morning in Drogheda. Less than 2 weeks ago Luke won the National boy 3 title which qualified him for a box off against the current National Boy 2 Champion. Luke delivered a top class performance today controlling all 3 rounds landing lovely scoring shots to pick up a unanimous 5-0 win and secure his place on the Irish National Team that will compete in the upcoming 4 Nations tournament in June against England, Scotland and Wales. National Boy 3 59kg Champion of Ireland- Luke McKenna

Unbelievable performance from Luke McKenna in his Boy 3 59kg final this evening. Luke found his range scoring well with his jab throughout the contest and picked off lovely scoring shots to earn a 4-1 win and collect his second consecutive National crown. All the hard work Luke put into his training paid off in the end. Enjoy the moment champ it’s well deserved 🥊🥊🔥🔥

Wasn’t to be for John Hawe in his respective National Final this evening. John has had a tremendous year winning his first Leinster title and put together 2 good wins in the National series. Plenty more to come from John. 🥊🥊🔥🔥

National Girl 2 39kg Champion of Ireland- Hayley Hawe.

Fantastic performance from Hailey Hawe in her final this morning beating the Dublin Champion on route to her second consecutive National crown. Hayley set the pace from the opening bell and found her range early landing clean scoring shots winning all 3 rounds. 🥊🥊🔥🔥
