Normans Rugby Football Club , Est. 2010 Normans RFC is a Rugby club based in Knocktopher, Co. Kilkenny. The club was founded in 2010.
Normans RFC play in the Leinster Rugby League. The main aim of the club is to play rugby at a high competitive level. Location: From the M9 take junction 10 signposted Knocktopher, Thomastown on to the R699, drive into the village of Knocktopher and go straight over the first mini-roundabout, at the second mini-roundabout take a left signposted for Ballyhale. Pre-season training this Thursday 15th 7:30pm at the Knocktopher Rugby Grounds. New players always welcome, Perfect level for beginners and older players wanting to return to the game. Great way keep yourself entertained for the winter months too.

19-14 Fantastic result for the Norman's. In a tough physical match they came out on top. First ten minutes were slow start for the men but held the line, then when Norman's got rolling, they upped the tempo and drove on. Scoring 19 points and keeping CYM scoreless till half time. Second half CYM came at them scoring two tries making it 19-14 with few mins to play, but the men defended brilliantly for them minutes, making big hits, eventually CYM knocked it on just metres from our try line.. Great display from the team and time to train and push on from here. Well done men.
Norman's travel to play CYM RFC today in dublin, in the 1st round of the Metro Cup. First match in couple months but there up for it. The very best of luck to the team and hope it's a great match. Kick-off 3pm

Unfortunately it was a disappointing day for the Norman's as they were beaten by Monkstown Rfc. It was a tough fast game of rugby for the lads. Division 10 is a step up and we will have to work harder. We can take a couple positives from the match, and learn from the mistakes we made through out the game.. Congrats to Monkstown FC on there win, who played good rugby through out the game.
