Our IRL Motorsports Brand Ambassador gives us a walk-through of the high-level racing simulator we supplied to support his TCR UK & European Championship campaigns.

This setup goes far beyond simply learning a track. It allows Max to work on racing lines, braking points, consistency, overtaking and defending, giving him valuable seat time before ever arriving at the circuit.

One of the most important features is the 4th telemetry screen, giving Max live data on his inputs, lap sectors and performance, alongside competitor data — allowing him to see exactly where he’s gaining or losing time in real time and make improvements lap after lap.

We’ve also equipped the simulator with a state-of-the-art steering wheel matching the layout of Max’s real TCR car, helping build ultimate muscle memory. The integrated display can show key information including gear, revs, tyre pressures, ABS, traction control and brake bias.

This is what serious simulator training looks like.

TCR UK Donington Park 🏆

It was great to get across the pond to watch our brand ambassador Max Hart in a round of TCR UK

Getting to see around the car and how technical it can be to try and push for those last couple tenths is crazy and it’s brilliant that it relates back to the simulator and being able to try different setups & tweaks to understand how it might feel before getting in the real thing!

The fact that there’s very little track time before getting straight into qualifying shows another aspect of the simulator in being able to learn the track,lines,braking points,turn in,defending/overtaking opportunities so that as a driver you can be on it straight away and more focused on the car and setup changes to get faster rather than having to learn in the first few sessions!

Max had a great weekend with some close battles but also really smart and calculated drives and he came away from the weekend with the championship lead🏁
