Callan Racquetball and Handball club

Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that our club was vandalised over the weekend.

Those responsible are known , and the incident has been captured on our CCTV.

This serves as an important reminder to all members to please ensure the side door leading to the court is securely locked when leaving. Unfortunately, when doors are left unlocked, incidents like this can occur.

On behalf of the Callan Handball and Racquetball Club, we would like to acknowledge the sad passing of Seamus Holden of Bridge Street. Seamus was a founding member of the club and always supportive as it developed. A proud Callan man, Seamus was much loved and respected by all who knew him.

The club would like to express its sympathy to his wife, Joan, and the wider family.🙏

Our Club Member Jake Greene has won Gold 🥇in the under 16 All Ireland Junior Racquetball Tournament, which was held in Kilkenny today with over 80 kids competing at different ages.
Jake also started competing in the men’s division for the first time back last November down in the Wexford Open and ended up wining the Men’s novice plate for his first time he also went and competed in the Men’s division in Kingscourt in Cavan back in February and made it through to the semi final after 3 difficult games.
A great start to Jake’s season.

Terribly disappointed that this is happening consistently, reminder to everyone to close the gates behind them, our facilities are not for school parking or turning!!!
