After a long and hugely successful day yesterday at Athgarvan Pitch & Putt Club we wrap up our Athgarvan's John Redmond Memorial Scratch Cup for 2026 🏆

A massive thank you to all the 100+ players who travelled and played in generous weather conditions ☁️ and to the people that didn't play and still supported us thank you very much!

Special mention must go to all the committee, helpers & grounds care team who have put in a tremendous amount of hours over the past 6 weeks 🙏 The advice & support we have received from Pitch and Putt Ireland Paudie O'Sullivan has been hugely beneficial and we can't thank him enough! To PJ Harte from Poulaphouca Pitch & Putt Club who was out lending a hand cutting greens/surrounds from 6am thanks again, it's special to see fellow club members rally together when in need of a dig out 🚜

To our 1st prize sponsor MWsheds, thank you very much it really does go along way & to our new local Mace Athgarvan who helped supply food throughout the day, thank you 🙏

🕊️It was also very special to have John's son, daughter-in-law & grandchildren present for the prize presentation. John was such an asset to our club for many many years and to have this cup renamed after him means a lot to us as a club, we're certain he was looking down on us yesterday with a big smile on his face as the cup was handed over 💙 Aisling Redmond

🙏🏼 If you are unable to attend please do let us know asap - Our labels are been printed & scorecards are been finalised Friday morning.

🤏 Our 1st session is currently FULL, we do have availability still from 2pm for our 2nd session so be quick to book your slot in advance!

🚘 Please note our carpark will be reserved for committee/helpers on the day. Strictly no parking on the grass around the clubhouse. The school carpark is a 2 minute walk and will be opened for all players.

🛑 Note: Our course will be CLOSED on Saturday 15th to allow us prepare for Sunday.

☕Our kind sponsors Mace Athgarvan is a 2min drive from our clubhouse, they are doing a special deal for all players on the day who mention "Athgarvan Scratch Cup" (Chicken fillet roll with 2 or 3 fillings OR a breakfast roll with 3 to 5 fillings + a tea/coffee OR a 330ml can/750ml water) for €6.00.
