Last weekend, our athletes took on the IMRA Irish Trials at the beautiful Glenbarrow, Co. Laois. While the scenery was spectacular, the demanding mountain course provided a true test for all competitors.

Siรนn Byrne, Ruby Gallagher O'Reilly and Laurene Clermont represented Croghan AC with great determination and pride in the U18 trials, while Kiva Gallagher O'Reilly also produced a fantastic performance to finish 2nd in the Junior Mountain Race.

We are delighted to celebrate a remarkable achievement, with Siรนn Byrne finishing 4th and Ruby Gallagher O'Reilly finishing 5th, securing selection for the Irish team for the British & Irish Mountain Championships this September ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช.

A special congratulations also goes to their coach, Micheรกl Byrne, whose dedication, guidance and commitment have helped these athletes reach this incredible milestone.

This is a truly historic moment for Croghan AC, as it is the first time the club has had two female athletes selected to wear the Irish green vest. It is a tremendous honour for the athletes, their families, their coach and everyone involved in the club.

Congratulations to Siรนn, Ruby, Laurene and Kiva on their fantastic performances, and we wish Siรนn and Ruby every success as they prepare to represent Ireland this September. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ’š

A truly memorable day at the 2026 National Senior Track & Field Championships for Kiva Gallagher O'Reilly and Laurene Clermont, who proudly represented Croghan AC in the Run with Ciara event at Morton Stadium. ๐Ÿ’œ

The event was a wonderful tribute to Ciara Mageean, one of Ireland's greatest ever athletes, whose passion, determination and achievements continue to inspire the next generation.

An unforgettable experience for Kiva and Laurene, who will cherish the memories of being part of such a special occasion. โญ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช
