A huge thank you to Ruth Rooney for giving her time to train our U10 girls this week! 🏐

Ruth is an experienced Sligo footballer, teacher and coach. She captained Strandhill Ladies to both Junior and Intermediate Championship titles and has also coached the Sligo U16s.

The girls had a brilliant evening learning from Ruth and really enjoyed the energy and encouragement she brought to the session. We’re very grateful to her for sharing her experience with our young players! 🙌

Connacht LGFA wish to express our sincere condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Benny Fahy, a former President of Connacht LGFA, on his sad passing.

Benny gave great service to Ladies Gaelic Football and to Connacht LGFA during his time as President. His contribution to our Association will be fondly remembered, and his passing will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him.

On behalf of everyone involved with Connacht LGFA, we extend our deepest sympathies to Benny’s family at this very difficult time.
